Oh how I wish I had looked here first!! I too ordered something from this company, It arrived ok (after a small delay), but had to return it as it wasn't suitable, i returned it within the 14 days, but have now been chasing and chasing to get a refund, have left numerous messages both on the mobile voicemail - although most days it's just full and won't take any more messages! And of course through the website. I did have one text message (very poorly written in typical "text speak"!)

I'm not sure what else to do - do I contact Trading Standards/DSA/Office of Fair Trading or my solicitor (it's only for £20 but it's now the principle of not refunding.

    Any advice would be welcome.

    Thanks everyone.... Debbie
  • Always google unknown websites first even if they have an email address and pay with credit card if poss (more protection on orders over £100)

this is a good website for security browser add ons

The DSR allow for seven working days for purchaser to return any goods and get a refund - did you do this?

  • I too wish i had read this forum before. I am amazed to see reports going back 5 years. I wont go into detail as it follows the same pattern as all that have gone before.
I am getting my money back, (from my card provider) and i too have reported this to trading standards Birmingham.
I can only urge all others ....DO NOT BUY FROM INEST.CO.UK

  • I totally agree with all the above it is now September 2012 and it appears inest is still up to its old tricks. I bought some DIY items that were very competitively priced compared to the likes of B&Q especially when you bought bulk buys to allow for the p&p. Unfortunately 3 weeks later and still no sign of the items. My order still states as pending on their website. They have not answered my emails even with the auto responder stating we will reply to your email within 24 hours. I have used the mobile number to ask for a text update and received replies several days later, 1 gave me a delivery date 2 weeks after ordering, which never materialised and the 2nd reply stated they would look into it, with no further response. I still have still not received my goods. I have even given them the opportunity to be honest and tell me if they are awaiting stock etc as i just want a genuine expected delivery date but no answer.

I will be waiting for 1 more week then applying for a refund via visa refund. I will also then report inest.co.uk to trading standards and Watchdog as this appears to not be a genuine business
  • Everybody who has had a bad experience with Inest should contact Trading Standards urgently Jennifer_Smith@Sandwell.gov.uk

This company is STILL trading! What is the matter with Trading Standards? Why haven't they been shut down - it's outrageous that they should still be operating.

I'd never heard of this company until they came up in a search I made for something I wanted. Thank goodness for MSE - otherwise I might have been another of their victims.
