Laura - I'm still finding weaning difficult at 8 months! (I do have a very lazy child though that doesn't want to hold anything!) all the ladies on here are really helpful though so just ask! :D

Nutella - I've just got back from Sainsbury's and they have a mahoosive M&S next door, thinking I should of popped in there now!

Ill read back as sure missed something xx

Oh you're lucky, i didn't even know it was photo day, and wasn't too keen on the shirt he ended up wearing, it was the spare one in the bag coz his original one got dirty!

He still looks super cute though lol x

    Morning all

Sunshine - that's so sweet about Aiden standing talking to the older babies with his friend, that must of made you feel so happy.

Off to Sainsbury's today to get a few bits for Noah. I managed to get him a couple of long sleeved bibs from Asda and they are fab. He tends to stick his fingers everywhere now so he stays clean at dinner time now!
    Xx

    Hi!!
Asda do lovely bibs. I've just got some of the over the head ones, as he keeps pulling them off now.
Do have one coverall which is great too x

Nutella what a fab sleep! Long may it continue :)

Ever since we learnt to feed laying down, that's how I've done the last feed before bed. I've gotten lazy, and night feeds are like that too, with me often falling asleep so we end up bed sharing, then when I wake up i pop him in the cot unless.

Bit fed up of that, and he often cries at going back in the cot, and i don't blame him - he was warm and comfy and had boob on tap, then I put him alone in the cold cot. Meanie mummy!

So for the last 3 nights I have had him on my lap while feeding, and straight to cot, and when he doesn't settle, he gets a cuddle and bum patting and then back in cot. It's a bit wobbly, but so far seems to be working overall. I'm sleeping better, because even though I'm sitting up to feed him in the night, im putting him back in the cot so i then sleep deeper when in bed.

I think I need to get the blw book from the library, cuz I'm struggling. He has had yoghurt, carrot (steamed), toast and banana (and of course a chunk of biscuit!). But I'm finding it difficult to add in a feeding solids time every day, so some days get missed. Can he have things like pasta and a homemade tomato based sauce (so no salt), or do I need to stick with veggies and fruit?

We didn't get regular sleeping through until 6 and a half months. Before that it was generally 1-2 wake ups a night. When we made a huge effort to get him to eat and drink more during the day, it helped his sleep at night. I'm also of the belief that sleep breeds sleep and when he has enough naps during the day he definitely has better nights. That's A though, I know not all babies are the same :o On the whole though he is an amazing sleeper so I think I just feel it hard when he doesn't if that makes sense?

That's our problem. He's only literally having maybe 15-30min throughout the whole day at nursery with naps. When he comes home, he's so over tired. But on Wednesday's when he's home with me, he'll have at least a couple of hours x

Seems anything will do really - http://www.babyledweaning.com/some-tips-to-get-you-started/ says
"Next, forget ‘baby food’. Food’s food, as long as you’re not adding salt. To start off with, think chip-sized because it’s an easy shape for little 6-month-olds to grip, but you’ll soon move on to smaller pieces as it’s more interesting for a child developing a pincer grip.
As a first food most people steam carrots (to about the degree that they can be smushed ‘twixt your thumb and finger), cut up cucumbers, make toast fingers or crinkle cut bits of mango, that sort of thing, but remember if there’s no reason whatsoever why your baby can’t have a pile of Spaghetti Bolognese or mashed potato to dig into if that’s what the rest of the family is having."

Afternoon all. My baby is nearly over her lurgy (still getting snot trails but not constantly!) but has given the cold to us. I am a bit snotty and have sore sinuses, hubby apparently has ebola...

We have five teeth, two at the bottom and three at the top but strangely one of the middle teeth and the two next door but not her other front tooth yet. It's definitely there but hasn't cut through yet.

She doesn't sleep through the night, it's happened very very rarely but I don't mind if she wakes once or twice, I just figure I get thirsty in the night and it's fine if she does it and she's normally very quick to settle once she's topped up on milk. It's just hell when it's more than that like two nights when she was poorly she was up almost every hour and wouldn't settle back down. It was like having a newborn again!
