  • Look forward to weaning Niall but not looking forward to my mum and mil trying to give him rusks choc etc eeeekkk!

Still bad sleep with Niall, doesn't sleep for longer than 1 hour in his Moses basket now. Just riding out the storm and hope things improve soon. Dh gave me lay in sat and sun to catch up on sleep and fed Niall expressed breast milk.

My psoriasis is the worst it's ever been since having Niall because of all the stress. Doc has referred me to a dermatologist today to hopefully get uv treatment as no creams are safe while breastfeeding.

I don't think it's teeth, he isn't gnawing, or drooling or anything like before when we had teeth cutting, plus he's never really gone off his grub with any of the other 6, not like this. I don't know if he's just going through a fussy phase or not. His bottles are pretty regimented tbh, 9am, 2pm and 7pm. He has 8oz at each feed, 3 meals a day and 2 snacks usually. Which tbh is enough. I don't want to encourage a bigger milk intake as he's lazy that way and I think he'd rather have more milk than food, but that's just not the way the world works I'm afraid, and I don't want to go back to 4 bottles and less food, as it's taken a lot of hard work to get to where we are. He's sleeping now so I will just have to offer dinner at the regular time, he didn't finish his lunch time bottle so maybe he'l be a bit hungrier at dinner and take something :o

Shame, hope so Gilly. Charlie went off his food when he was ill and had a blocked nose. Doc said coz he can't taste his food he's not interested. So we were told to put saline drops in his nose before each meal which helped. But i guess you'd know if he had a cold x

No he has the cold, I have been using the saline drops, he's really sad today so maybe its working on him more than I thought. He has eaten all of his dinner, so I will try some weetabix or porridge at 6, and then put him down at 7 as usual. He is sitting on the sofa beside me sobbing at the moment :( even when I hold him he isn't stopping. I hate when he's sad and upset as he's usually such a happy baby. Poor Aaron :( I think if he wakes tonight I will just give him a little bit of milk if it sends him back over :o

So after all that he had a good sized portion of cottage pie at dinner, dairy free Yogurt for pudding, and a full weetabix before bed and some of my chicken when I was eating my dinner then 5oz of his bedtime bottle, so fingers crossed its done the trick :D

  • Hello all
Been reading but no chance to post. Gilly, hope Aaron gets better :( sounds like a bug, when Aiden had a bad blocked nose he hardly ate at all. Fingers crossed he sleeps for you tonight. Touch wood Aiden doesnt seem fussed for milk in the night, his first one is 630 but he always leaves 4oz that I use for porridge when we are at home.

When we picked him up tonight he was standing at the partition between the two rooms, it was lovely as we watched him for afew mins while he didnt know we were there. He was chatting away to the bigger babies with his little friends sat next to him....it made me really happy!!

    Laura, gorgeous baby boy :)

Hope the bad sleeping improves for anyone who is suffering. Aiden was tossing and turning last night, we think its because his routine was all out of sorts with being at my mums.

Photos at nursery tomoz! Got him a cute little checked shirt from tesco :)

Ill read back as sure missed something xx
