Welcome liltdiddylilt! Sick in your mouth  if youhappenedto have been videoing it that is you've been framed gold! £250 guaranteed
G woke up just now and fed without hesitation, and no bites so that's a relief. Might try the shock tactics if he takes a chomp of me again, thanks. Dreading him getting his top teeth through now
Elelyn - G often gets hot too, if we're going to be out for abit I put him in a thin ish hoody with a coat over, cosy toes on the pram and if its really cold some (adorable) little shoes as his feet do get cold sometimes. For round the supermarket normally just his hoody and shoes. Although did have to retrace my route round sainsburys the other day as he'd kicked one off. Never normally put him in his coat in the car, only takes 2 mins for the heater to kick in so hes ok without it.

Nutella I have just done the same routine, life of a mum hehe!
Gilly I know what you mean about the sweetness, hazelnut is even worse! Will be off to h&b on my next trip into town. I'm finding that the best thing I can do right now is make my own food. At least then I know what is in it. She likes rice crackers so that is easy. Luckily no issues with gluten!!!
Katie (sorry for misspell earlier!) if only I was videoing but of course I wasn't. In wasn't even throwing her around superman style... She was sat on my knee, I leant in for a kiss and bang, mouthful!
Glad he fed without issue. Ellie had a few months where she refused point blank to touch a bottle after my mum tried to force feed her bm in a bottle when I went into work! Took me a long time to get her sortedwould have been horrible if you had to battle him!
Football fix done. Now seriously, bed!! Night

Remembered what I was going to ask now! I'm struggling with how to dress Theo when we go out. As it's cold out, I'm bbviously putting a nice warm coat or pramsuit on him, however, whether he's in his car seat or the pram he ends up being too hot. He then gets really upset and starts crying. We went to Tesco today and he was in a thick cardigan rather than a coat but when I took him out of his car seat he was boiling hot and sweating, the poor thing. I can't take him out with no coat on though! Anyone else have this problem?
I find mine gets very hot in his car seat. I put his jumper on to go to the car, then take it off to put him in his seat, and lay it or a blanket over him. He seems to be warmest where he touches the seat, so if I put the jumper over him, it helps. Yesterday I was in jumper and coat, he had longsleeved vest and dungarees with a fleece jumper just lying on him, and he was toasty.
We had 3 snowsuits last winter, he never wore any. He's worn his new one twice, once in the strong winds, and once on Saturday in that pouring rain while out shopping. I was saturated, he was very lightly damp where the feet and hands meet.0 -

Hi sunshine! How was Aiden this morning when you dropped him off?
I think I'm starting to get into bad habits - George woke up at 6.20 this morning, fed him but he wouldn't settle properly so I laid him on top of the quilt next to me and we both slept until almost 9! I don't want him to get too used to it (second time in a couple of days) but that little bit extra makes all the difference! I think I'll maybe set a rule that he can't come to my bed before 6.30am.
But as I'm used to getting up before 7 I'm about 2 hours behind - normally he's already having his first nap at this time!Newborn thread member

Hey ladies
It's not the first time that lurking on this thread has cost me money! I have just bought one of those baby dams (thanks Nutella). What a fab invention though. Sure it will be very :money: in the long run!
And I thought I would save money having had a baby and staying in most Saturday nights. Dam these smartphones (do you see what I did there?).

I have just been having a peek through the last couple of pages (so back history not read) but wanted to say hi & may I join you?!
I have a 7.5 month old daughter named Elliott (boys name - I know!!) & I have been weaning her from BM to prescribed dairy free formula as she is rather allergic to cows milk protein!! She's taken to it like anything but I have decided to stop BF today, as to be honest it is more of a comfort thing for her now than nutritional & she is perfectly content with the bottles & her baby foods. Feeling very blue... & guilty! Why do I feel guilty?!?! I'm the only person I know who actually breastfed for more than a week!!!!!
Katy - Ellies teeth haven't come through yet, but what I was told was to yell 'OW!', then take her off & say no. Apparently, I only bit once, my little sister bit twice... then never again. Shock tactics. Having said that though, littlie is easily frightened by loud and sudden noises so she'd probably scream the place down. I don't envy you, that's for sure!!!
Anyways, I am off to bed. Now that my OH can feed her in the night, I am finally getting a mostly undisturbed nights sleep again (he feeds her before he comes to bed at ridiculous o clock which wakes me..)
I'll be back!!
Welcome!!! Lovely name for a girl!
Charlie is on the Pepti too and loves it thank goodness!! xDFD February 2012

Katie, don't feel bad about getting a couple of extra hours' sleep! I used to move LO into my bed at 5am/6am-ish when she'd wake up due to it being light outside. She'd then sleep until 8am-ish. It's less of an issue for us now that it gets light later, so I don't tend to do it anymore, but it was soooo worth it!
Our night was a mixed bag - got up a couple of times to put the dummy back in, then she slept until 4am, when she wanted feeding. I didn't give her any milk and eventually an hour later she went back to sleep and slept until 8am!
Off to work in a bit - I'll be doing someone's maternity cover as a secondment (within my own organisation) for a year, and she's leaving before I go back, so I need to go in for two half days to do the handovers. This means my brain has to cope AND I get no afternoon nap!! Will see how that goes...0
