Happy birthday Poppy! Hope you're all ok Jannine x
Well done on the bargains sammie! Are those toys getting on your nerves yet? I didn't think the walker was annoying at first but now...
We didnt go to the lights switch on, it hasn't stopped raining all day here. Went to see some friends who are having their first baby in February and drop off our bouncy chair for them. Also cleaned the kitchen floor and then threw baby food all over it
How is aiden's cough now sunshine? Did you manage to get him to take the inhaler?
His cough is the same really, but he has had a few does of the medicine now so hopefully its in his system. He isnt liking the inhaler, tried tonight when he was in bed but he just cries, did get it in but he was upset.
Boo about the baby food on your clean floor!! And its been piddling down all day here too xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Hey ladies
It's not the first time that lurking on this thread has cost me money! I have just bought one of those baby dams (thanks Nutella). What a fab invention though. Sure it will be very :money: in the long run!
And I thought I would save money having had a baby and staying in most Saturday nights. Dam these smartphones (do you see what I did there?).

Lixi, this thread is indeed a very dangerous place - you end up needing (not wanting!) things you never even knew existed a few minutes earlier!... Plus, if it's 'for the baby', expenditure can always be justified somehow
Please do let me know if the baby dam works - I haven't bought one yet, so I'd love to know.
Stop lurking and come join us - I like to think we're quite a friendly bunchHow old is your little one?

Thanks Nutella, you are indeed. I feel like a bit of a stalker sometimes reading about your LOs, but it is so nice to hear about other people's experiences. I often read just before bed like now... My LO had a disturbed night last night and is bound to have another as in laws have been down and in his face all day so he hasn't fed on his normal routine...
I've also joined the jumperoo brigade because of you ladies. My boy is Elliott and he is just over 5 months old. We are starting on the weaning front now too so all very exciting (although a bit erratic!).

Glad to have you join us Lixi - and another jumperoo fan too! We like
Do you want to add yourself to the list at the top of this page? I know what you mean about that stalking feeling - I lurked on the pregnancy thread for 8 months before actually posting a week before my due date!
Hope your night is better than feared, let's hope he's so tired he sleeps.0 -
jedi 10oz in 2 weeks sounds fine to me....BF babies are meant to gain between 4 and 8 oz at your LO's age, so seems spot on. Have you thought about getting a second opinion? Is he well otherwise (happy, alert, meeting milestones, wet and dirty nappies?)?
Lixi welcome to the church of jumperoo!0 -
Hi Lixi
hope you stick around.
Have come up to bed as knackered. Its OHs bday so feel abit bad as I was dozing on sofa from about 8. Aiden has just started coughing compared to usual 8:00ish so fingers crossed somethings working.

Hi lixi, welcome! Good luck with the weaning, im obsessed with it!
Hope Aiden's late start with the cough is a sign of the medicine working.
G has just had a complete hissy fit, taken the best part of an hour to get him off again. Don't know what's up with him, he usually has a cry not long after bedtime but not like that.
Off to bed for me now anyway, night all.Newborn thread member

Thanks Nutella. I was a lurker on that thread too.
Jedi, sounds like you are doing a fantastic job. That weight gain sounds good to me. I thought co-sleeping was something I would never try, but it just felt natural from day one and really helped with breastfeeding.
Thanks Turtle (if it is a church I am well and truly converted!).
Thanks Sunshine. Fingers crossed the medicine gives you and A some respite.
Katie - me too. I have tried a few purees with baby rice with limited success. We will be trying blw. Note to self - have to eat better myself which will help. I had a pot noodle lunch and a Belgian Bun for afternoon tea (!) on Friday which boy was eyeing up. Hardly appropriate. I developed a real sweet tooth when preggers. E hasn't settled well since his 3.30 feed. I am lying here thinking about apple turnovers (don't know why, haven't had one in an age!).
