Hi all sorry to hear about all the problems some are having - particularly Kira! Gosh that must have been so scary. Glad she is doing better now.
I havent' been on much as DS2 got the sickness bug that's doing the rounds from school then we had usual football training yesterday. DS2 had a party as he recovered quickly then we had a yummy takeaway with my parents and sister last night as it's my birthday on Wednesday. Chilling out today.
For those who are asking to join our newborn FB group, make sure you ask to join that group and not the parenting one. If you need the link PM me or Mirror xx
I sent a PM asking to join the new born group but didn't get a replyI'm on facebook a lot more then here (as i can get on fb on my mobile easily) xx

Did you Pm me hun? Because I didn't get it. Have added you now though.
After DS2 puking on Friday he is now puking again!! Very strange. His porridge this morning obviously didn't agree with him even though he ate normally over the weekend. It doesn't look good for me and DH going out for lunch tomorrow for his birthday while the boys are at school!
For those struggling with LO's having enough breastmilk and losing weight, I had this exact same problem with DS1. He went from 7lb 13oz at birth down to 6lb 10oz 6 days later. He obviously wasn't getting enough from me and instead of struggling through when it was obvious my milk wasn't coming in, I put him on formula and never looked back. So if formula is the way to go, don't beat yourself up - you are doing the best for your baby xThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
I know I sent a pm to someone, i hope i didn't pm a random person by mistake *feels silly now*. Thank you for the add
need to get ready to go out-i will have a nosey on the group once i've picked up my son from nursery

Big Congrats JulieGeorgiana. Whatever your LO throws at you it sounds like it will be a piece of cake compared to your pregnancy! My DD had a weepy belly button that just didn't heal properly and the HV or doctor (5 years ago so can't remember) gave me some powder to shake on it, and it was fab. Dried it up and it healed really quickly then. It was called citrizine or something. Until then you could try folding the nappy down low (huggies seem to be a lower cut than others) to allow as much air at it.
Ro, massive hugs. It is so normal for bf babies to lose a lot of weight until your milk comes in. I would agree with the other girls about feeding every 2 hours, not 3. Infact, feed as often as you can, and don't be afraid of topping up with formula. Getting stressed out won't help either of you, and will make expressing harder, but can totally understand your worries as baby feeding has always been my number one priority. I would also suggest you tell people not to bother you for a few days, while you are getting bf established. Anyone who cares about you will understand. I've been there and you would not believe what a difference 24 hours can make!
My wee Daniel has been really whingy the last few days and I'm starting to think he might have an ear infection:-( Couldn't get an appointment til Thursday so am going to see if the Dr can look at him at the baby clinic today.First Baby born January 2007

Morning all!
Just checking in quickly while F has a nap after an incredibily sleepless weekend - haven't had chance to read all the way back but I gather we have some new arrivals so congratulations!
Got so stressed with DH on Friday night I threw my phone at his headnot the best move because I missed his head and hit the radiator so my phone is now very broken and in about a million pieces
but on the plus side, I think it made him realise just how much I'm struggling and he's been brilliant all weekend so fingers crossed it'll last
I bought F a Bumbo seat at a car boot, what a brilliant invention - he now follows me around the house in it, means I can actually get off the sofa and get some housework done!
Anyway, he's thinking about waking up so I'd better go and see to him, but I hope everyone is doing ok and hugs to those that need/want onexxx

Yes, my not so little one went down from over 9 6 to 8 10 in his first five days. Because he was big though, he was still in the percentage allowed, and the midwife discharged him at 9 1 after five more days.
His belly button also oozes a bit, I got the doc to look at it as I wasn't sure if it was ok.0 -

You are so right, my mum said I got an easy baby to make up for the 9 months!
I have been doing that after my sister told me about it... and i've tried to let it dry out, but when she moves it splits again. I am putting the nappy low on her hips and folding it down which has been helping. I just called the midwives... looks like there is nothing more to do... if it smells or has dicharge i'm to see the GP... otherwise just avoid bathing her and making it wet at all... and just hope it heals. My midwife will look at it Wednesday if nothing changesWe spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Yay, breast feeding support lady is coming round to the house this afternoon to see if there's any advice/help she can give. My milk appears to be coming in though, at least I'm guessing that's what's causing all the irrational, unexplainable crying on my part... :rotfl::j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0
