So glad to hear you had a good night Kira, it does make everything seem better! We did the same with a towel when Poppy was in moses basket as she seemed to hate sleeping flat, she is fine now though.
Poppy has her second tooth now, can't really see it yet but i felt it had cut though the gum.0 -
Talking of real nappies LO is now firmly a size two so I have a bunch of size ones to get rid of - does anyone know a good place to sell them - I thought of ebay but they dont seem to like used nappies and since I have lots I would like recoup some of the cost towards new wraps as we need to go up a size soon.0

That sounds like a mission MirrorImage - good luck!
Great to hear you had a good night Kira. The world always seems better when you have had a half decent slepp. I hope tonight goes just as well if not better for you. I had a lovely Disney lullabies CD that I used to put on in Esme's room when she went to bed. She always drifted off. Then a few months ago, I went in to check on her before I went to bed and the CD had stuck on one of the early tracks and it had just been doing the juddering ever since - a good few hours lol. Must have been a good bit of white noise as DD never woke up!0 -
Glad you had a good night Kira.
We had another bad night. DD colic started just before 9, again i started to get upset, OH told me to go to bed,so i did but think i only managed 10min sleep then OH come in at 9.50 then we had a 15min feed, nappy change, then cuddles and she did kind off settle but then started crying again at 11, again i really started to cry so OH took her in the loungue with him and i managed to get to sleep, and OH brought her back in the bedroom when she woke for her next feed so i did manage about 4hours sleep, then put DD down to sleep at 4ish but from then her noises kept me up. Is there anything we can do for the noises? Or just a case off i need to learn to swtich off and cope with the noises?!
Plan off action tonight is next feed should be 7/8(but shes starting to wake now!!), then the colic will start so just comfort her etc, then offer a next feed at 10ish and do that feed in the bedroom with the lights and sound low, then comfort her in the bedroom and hope she goes off and i will not get upset!!0 -
Hi everyone! Amelia Grace is now here, I posted my birth story on the pregnancy thread if anyone wants to read it, it's on page 22 I think, plus a photo a couple of posts further down.
Kandboys - please can you send me a link to the FB group? Thanks!
Things are going ok so far I think. We had a tough night last night when she just wouldn't settle and wanted to feed constantly. If she dozed off at the end of a feed and I tried to put her in the Moses basket she'd just wake and scream and nothing but feeding would calm her. I've been looking at my latching on technique though and am not sure it's quite right so am going to try to go to a breast feeding support group session on Tuesday to get some advice, just to make sure she's getting enough milk.:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -
You know you're a mum when...
...you're jigging away to the nursery rhyme music that's playing on the bouncy chair! (yes I was actually just doing that)

Lauralou I've been meaning to pm you all week but baby brain has set in
and I can't remember much more than my name st the moment.
We registered here by declaration because there was a wait for appointments at poole.
Well... As I said we are ff but I'm leaking all over the show, saw the hv who said there was no harm in seeing if Lo will latch on so she helped me, we've tried a few times since but I think minimonster is lazy... So we're thinking about getting a pump and expressing, has anyone else been expressing? How have you found it?Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

I have been BF, but i also did hve to express in the hospital under protest!- it was actually OK and i was surprised how much i got first time- 70ml from one breast, and another 20ml from the other (that LO had fed from) but i do have quite hardy nipples!
I do also hand express a bit before each feed to get things going quicker for LO as like yours, she is a bit lazy, and having the milk flowing already seems to help get her interested more/Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
