Hey all posting from center parcs on my phone. Having a great time Ellie has learnt to cough and has been really good apart from some screaming due to wind.
I mainly popped on to post some very important money saving info.

The Asda baby event has huggies newborn starter packs reduced to 3 pounds a box the boxes contain a hat pack of newborn size 1 nappies and a pack of wetwipes. Inside the sleeve that is on the box are money off vouchers for 2 pounds off huggies newborns, 1 pound off huggies wipes and 2 pound off swim nappies.

You can use the 2 pounds off huggies newborns to buy another box for 1 pound (if you got the emmas diary packs from argos u can try to use the 1 off to and get the box free) you can then cut the vouchers off the next box and get another box for 1 poiund!

Some people are being a little cheeky and swapping the size 1 nappies for bigger sizes!

This offer saved me a fortune so please save some cash and do it. Also keep holld the 1 pound off huggies wet wipes voucher as they are often on offer for 1 pound so free wipes!!

Can someone do me a favour and cut and paste this to both pregnancy threads and the parenting thread as I can't do it on my mobile.

Thanks I will read back, catch up and update when I get home

Hello jen, some of the ladies on the pregnancy thread have found the nappies in the new starter packs are packaged in clear packing so you'd be unable to swap them xx

Hi all sorry to hear about all the problems some are having - particularly Kira! Gosh that must have been so scary. Glad she is doing better now.

I havent' been on much as DS2 got the sickness bug that's doing the rounds from school then we had usual football training yesterday. DS2 had a party as he recovered quickly then we had a yummy takeaway with my parents and sister last night as it's my birthday on Wednesday. Chilling out today.

For those who are asking to join our newborn FB group, make sure you ask to join that group and not the parenting one. If you need the link PM me or Mirror xx

Also been reading about craniosacral therapy and it is meant to be good for babies who had traumatic births does anyone have any experience?

I don't have any experience of it, but had been looking into it for Katie for her reflux/vomitting, wind, hiccups, falling asleep mid feed, erratic feeding, restlessness, mucus and eczema.
  • Argh, Jack been driving me nuts the past couple of days. He will not go for a nap at all! Yesterday it was an hour and a half spread out over the whole day. He woke up at half 9, didn't go to sleep until 12.30am(!), max 25 mins sleep at a time, but usually only 5-10 mins. Now he's doing the same today. Add to that he keeps spitting his dummy out to get it himself (he won't let me put it back in at all, he'll only take it if he can get it).

If the are different packaging I will still get them and car boot any nappies in the summer. Need to malke some cash so I can stay home with my girls!

Morning!! Well, that went well.. Not counting my chickens that it will continue every night, but i'll take one good night! Swaddled LO tightly, and put a folded towel under her crib mattress to give a very gentle incline (M/W said it might help her settle and avoid the mucousy sound in her throat). Watched for yawns and sleepy blinks, then kept the routine simple, 3 tracks from lullaby CD downstairs, then upstairs to dark bedroom, nappy change, sleep clothes, quiet mummy cuddle, with gentle shussing, and forehead stroke. It took about 30mins for her to give into the eyes closing and drop off properly as she was fighting it, but she didnt cry like usual, just opened and closed her eyes. Managed to put her down, and was fine for 40mins, then had a fussy episode when she wanted a poo and couldnt, so scooped her out and did tummy pats till it exploded, then nappy change again, and more soothing, and off she went!
    YAY!!
DH just taken her for a walk again. I'm feeling human, and the world is a beautiful place!

Thanks for your help ladies. I appreciate it, and it really helps to know people have been there and done that as well..
