Hugs Kira. Sorry to hear that you had a tough time at the hospital. Good to hear that DD is doing lots of wet and dirty nappies :) Fingers crossed that she lets you get some sleep in soon x

2 more sleeps until I go to center parc. I am so excited I might wet myself, then again I had a baby just over 3 weeks ago so I might wet myself anyway!! lol

Are you taking Ellie with you? I'd be interested to know how it is there with a baby. I love centerparcs but I don't know if it would be as relaxing with my LO, am considering it though. Also, do they do any activities that babies can take part in, I assume she is too young.

    Have fun!

Kira, sorry to hear about your time in hospital. About the dummies i started niamh off on one in hospital as she just wanted to suck and the midwives wouldnt let me keep giving her milk (formula fed) and to get her to take it i lightly tapped the plastic while it was in her mouth so she knew it was there, and if she gets her self in a state like the 4 hours crying we had last night i still do it and it works.

Is 20 weeks to old to introduce ewan? Also been reading about craniosacral therapy and it is meant to be good for babies who had traumatic births does anyone have any experience?

Dee, one of the mums at the school raves about it all the time! She took her son who was 6 at the time as he was finding it hard to concentrate etc and said he has come on leaps and bounds at school. SHe now takes his twin for something else, i`m not sure what, and said the daughter felt an improvment after just the 1st session. Obviously those situations arent the same as taking a baby, but her friend apparently takes her baby. (thinking this mum may be getting commission for recommending people haha!) SOrry if thats not alot of help, but just wanted to say i have heard good things about it, oh and that its expensive :(
Dummies dont work for every baby, DD2 just couldnt ever suck it, and DD3 didnt ake one until she teethed at 10 weeks, and then i just kept doing the tapping dummy thing. Took her a good week tho to realise what it was! DD1 however was a nightmare and always had one, and as she got older liked to have one in her mouth and 1 in each hand! Hope u have a better night tonight Kira xx

Ben has decided its playtime, so I'm surfing the net whilst he is content to lay on my chest.

Have had a good day with him, took him to his great grans and he got passed round the family (9 of us ended up there in total) and was ever so good and didn't get grouchy, then when we got home MILtook him out for a 6 mile walk so I could get some sleep.

Half of her sleepsuits fit fine, bar ridiculously small feet.

    Tell me about it!!!

Kira, sorry to hear about your hospital trip but glad LO is ok!

Well the ointment for Katie's eczema has worked a treat and it has just about gone now. She is now on her 2nd full day of antibiotics for the chest infection so hopefully they will start taking effect soon and she will lose the mucus rattle. Since starting the antibiotics she has has diahorrea so OH phoned NHS direct last night. We had to wait 4 hours for them to return our call, then got referred for a phone consultation with a GP who recommended continuing with the same antibiotics as any other ones have the same side effect.
