Woke up with a headache so took some tablets and managed to stay in bed for another 30 mins before the boys woke up. My headache is now gone but I've got stomach cramps now so I think it could be time if the month soon which I wish would hurry up as I'm 2 weeks late

 LO number 4 sammie?! Hope you feel better soon anyway.

We had a bit of a rubbish night - up 3 times. Going to (hopefully) get him off for a nap then I can tidy up a bit. Think there's a baby sale on today so might see if I can find the details.

  • Toni, I started expressing just after 5 weeks, you might not get much at first. Then Niall had his first bottle a few days before he was 6 weeks. We used the calma teat by medela which is closet to breastfeeding it took him a few gos to do it.

A tiring night here as up with Niall after 40 mins, 3 hours, 1 and a half hours....then dh took him downstairs so I could get a bit more sleep.

Niall didn't go off for his morning sleep while we were out and about so has now been sleeping in the sling for 2 hours, he is keeping me warm.

Let's hope better sleep tonight for everyone.

Toni, Jacob is going to be 4 weeks old on Monday and we have been doing a mixture of breast feeding and expressing. He still prefers mummy milk straight from the boob but we have no problems with bottles. If your unsure then you could try a cup to feed her expressed milk with or you could try baby led bottle feeding. http://blog.nurturedchild.ca/index.php/2010/12/10/baby-led-bottle-feeding/ Another great site for any help/advice etc on breastfeeding is the kellymom site http://kellymom.com/bf/pumpingmoms/feeding-tools/bottle-feeding/

    good luck chicken x

Evening ladies, quiet on here today! Hope everyone's had nice days?

We didn't go to the baby sale as I couldn't remember where/when it was or find anything online about it either. Just had a wander round town for a bit instead.

Had a relatively successful dinner - toast went down even better this time, he's really getting the hang f it. The strawberry and banana pur!e I'd made went down ok afterwards. He practically guzzled the b.nut squash & sweet potato pur!e I gave him for tea. Decided as we've got a few jars in the cupboard we'll use them up before I make anything else and carry on with finger foods and probably start to go more down the blw route as he's much happier feeding himself.

Off to make some custard for my sponge pud (on offer in sainsburys ;)) and watch a film with OH now.

Wow katiechoc George sounds like he is doing great with solids.
I bought some organic cheese puffs for Noah to try and he did quite well. He just seems so babyfied (if that's a real word!!) still :o I'm really trying to get him to sit up but still no luck.

Hi! :D I will be joining you in about four weeks :o I was wondering if you could pass some advice. I went to Mothercare to buy some breastfeeding/nursery bras but I found they did not fit me well!! :( I am currently a 36C with a month to go, what size should I buy? Where did you find your bras? Any recommendation?

    Thank you!!!

Marta, I'd wait for a week or two and then go and get measured. Mothercare have a pretty rubbish reputation for measuring, Marks & Spencer and Debenhams are usually pretty good. I got measured + bought my bras in Bravissimo, they were excellent but their stuff is not cheap. I'd suggest buying no more than two nursing bras until you know how you get on with breastfeeding. BF didn't work out for me, so not only did I waste a lot of money, seeing them in my underwear drawer made me cry :( Hope you're well and not suffering from too many aches and pains! x

We now know what's causing all that poo and lack of appetite... LO has picked up a bug of some description and kindly passed it on to her mum :( I'm feeling rubbish and can't keep food down, have only eaten two slices of toast today. Went to bed when LO did at 6.30, not really been sleeping but feel better just lying down in a dark room. Boo.
  • I got measured by mothercare and I'm bursting out of the bras (36E, eek!) ...wouldn't recommend them :( I only used them as I had vouchers, will be going to m&s to be re-measured as soon as I get around t making an appointment!

Nutella hope you feel better soon :o
