Toni, she should be fine with expressed milk and bottles now - the most common advice seems to be to wait for 6 weeks until breastfeeding is established, but I know many of us on here are/were breastfeeding AND bottlefeeding expressed milk right from the start without any problems. If you wanted to start expressing I'd suggest starting now though, so that she gets used to the bottle before your mum will be feeding her. Some breastfed babies will reject the bottle outright, and if she does this you could get your OH to try feeding her as she'll associate you with the boob. Good luck :)

Oh, and really good to hear that Maisie is feeling better :)

Ha me too, I get dizzy driving round it! Today as we were going up (I was driving) OH yelled out "I can see the sea!" (We always try to beat each other to see/say it first :o) so I looked over and nearly drove into the flipping fence!

Toni - if she does take a bottle of expressed I'd recommend giving her one fairly regularly, even after this week with your mum looking after her - we gave LO a bottle of BM at about 6 weeks and he guzzled it down, but we had no need to give him a bottle again for ages and then when we did he went batty every time we tried him with it. We've given up on bottles now really, he's a boob man already ;).

Aiden slept a bit better, 715-515 and then until now. Still coughing though :( my OH has recorded it so if we go back to drs he can show him, not sure what good it will do but maybe worth a try.

Hope you get all that 'stuff' in your new place turtle :p

We are off to town this morn then OH brother popping down.

Have a good day everyone x

    Morning all :)

Sunshine, glad your night wasn't too bad. We had another poo-filled one unfortunately, one at midnight that leaked through sleepsuit, sheet, mattress protector and mattress cover  Stuffed everything into the washing machine and put her in our bed, she woke at 3.30 for some milk (120ml) and then at 6.30 when she'd done another poo... Am beginning to wonder if I should be worried - it's so frequent, it absolutely stinks, and she's less interested in milk than usual (although had 140ml an hour ago). She's all smiles and doesn't seem to be in any discomfort, and she's not dehydrated (she just weed all over the changing mat as I was changing her...) and is drinking quite a bit of water.

    Soooo tired.

Have a good day all :)

We had the same thing with Noah a couple of weeks ago. It went on for about 4 days! Literally he would be covered in poo and it had a horrendous smell to it. Is her poo really runny? Noah's started off really runny (almost water like) for a couple of days then turned really dark and thick! had to literally scrape it off his vest! Noah had a cold so I think that was what caused it.
Has your little one got a cold? Teething maybe?

Sunshine - glad Aiden slept better. Im keeping an eye out for the new pics of your house but nothing yet :p

Woke up with a headache so took some tablets and managed to stay in bed for another 30 mins before the boys woke up. My headache is now gone but I've got stomach cramps now so I think it could be time if the month soon which I wish would hurry up as I'm 2 weeks late

DP is working today so think we will get homework done today then pop to the supermarket to get some bits for a roast tomorrow.

    Xx
