Arrrgh! Tired of fireworks - they're so noisy and my poor little girl is so unsettled
Ewan is sat close to her head to drone out some of the noise coming from outside, but as soon as he stops, she wakes up again.
Rant over. Good night all x0 -
Evening all,
Hope they stop the fireworks soon nutella. There hasn't been any here tonight, I know the big display is tomorrow and that's pretty loud so will have to see how he takes it. Are you ladies going to any displays?
Good luck with the packing turtle, hope you get moved and settled in quickly!
sunshine I bet he'll be fine in the seat bit of the trolley, I don't think it'll be long before George is in that too, he's constantly leaning forward and trying to see what's going on behind him in the baby seat, and he can sit up unsupported pretty much indefinitely now.
I've had another rock and roll Friday night - tea, ginger nuts and working. That's just how I rollNewborn thread member

We are off to a display tomorrow but I'm not taking chuckles, just squeak and older girls. Chuckles is staying home with daddy.
Squeaks only 2 tho so I'll make sure she gets a good sleep in the afternoon so she doesn't get tired and ratty because I won't be able to take the buggy. I think it might be a nightmare but my mum is coming too so she can drive squeak home if it's really necessary!Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Morning all, hope the fireworks finished in decent time for everyone?
I've already been into town this morning - mil is staying so there's no where to take monkey when he wakes up. I'm sitting in the bedroom biting my tongue while mil tries to give him his breakfast - I've only seen her for about 30 minutes but already I'm tense. I never used to be like this with heralready fed up of being told how the amount of banana porridge I made him for brekkie isn't enough, and now he won't eat it it must mean he's not hungry - nothing to do with the fact that she's hovering around distracting him. God I sound so b!tchy. Going to be a long weekend I think

Oh no katie. I think a good few on here can sympathise with you. My mil annoys me sometimes too, espesh over food as Aiden doesnt have a massive appetite she thinks he should be like his dad and eat loads.
Just bite your tongue, hope your wkend flies byx
Btw, gosh you were in town early!!!xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Morning all
Katie, fingers crossed your weekend will pass by quickly (that sounds so wrong, doesn't it?!....).
Turtle, happy packing!
Fireworks eventually stopped and LO slept OK (but I'm not looking forward to what will inevitably be more noise tonight...) - she just had mango and raspberry for breakfast, polished off the lot and cried when the bowl was empty. I think that means she liked it!
Off for a walk with LO in a minute - nice and sunny (but cold) here this morning. I love those cold, crisp sunny daysWe went swimming again yesterday, and she did really well - still no smiles, but she made lots of sounds and didn't cry when an overexcited little boy splashed water in her face
Have a good day everyone x0 -
Morning all
Katiechoc - hope the weekend gets easier for you.
Nutella - I took the boys swimming too yesterday but it was Noah who was excited and splashing everyone!!
Slept through my alarm this morning so had to rush to get ds2 to karate, we made it though!!

Thanks ladies. I just find that I take everything she says as a criticism even though I'm sure it's not meant to be. Sat feeding him in the bedroom now and feel like crying.
. I really woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning:o
Edited to add: feeling much better after ranting to you ladies, and emailing my mum moaning.Newborn thread member
