Another amazing night to report here, 9pm - 7am!! No feed, no waking up moaning or crying, nothing. Got him at 7 and fed him laying down - we both dozed off again and I woke up aboout 945, he got up at 10. Sleepy boy!

nutella and sammie glad swimming was good....I love it, it's better than baby group!

Oh wow! Well done Reuben :D

I have really got to start taking Noah once a week as he really enjoys it. I'm thinking it would be best to go straight after dropping the boys off at school as it will provably be quiet.

:j Yay for sleeping - I'm jealous! My LO's sleep seems to be deteriorating - she still wants feeding twice a night, which I can live with, but recently she's been waking up regularly for dummy and/or cuddle, plus she's teething... I got two hours uninterrupted sleep from 10pm until midnight last night, which was fab :)

Confession time: I've never been to baby group, and I've no intention of going. The HV would be horrified if she knew :o

Sammie, do you have any organised parent & baby swimming sessions near you? Worth checking out if you do. The one we go to on Friday mornings is at a local authority-run pool, so it's cheap (£3.05) and the instructor is really good - lots of singing, lots of activities aimed at getting babies used to (and loving) water, and lots of plastic ducks, watering cans and footballs!

Wow what a good sleeper turtle! Can Reuben tell George his secrets please?!

Mil is staying til tomorrow. Getting on much better now, think I was just hungry and was up too early. Going to just ignore anything now, I think what I'm doing for him is right, and I don't need to justify my actions to anyone. So there! ;)

Back to the coat issue - we got him a winter coat the other day but I was wondering if anyone knew anywherethatsells warm fleecy over trousers? His top half is plenty warm enough but even with the cosy toes I think his legs will be chilly when it gets really cold out.

LO just surprised me - she had some Ella's* sweet potato, carrot & broccoli for lunch, and got soooo excited about it! She even forgot to demand her own spoon to chew on, and kept opening her mouth wanting more and making lots of little happy sounds.

    * Yep, that's right: a shop-bought pouch. After only two and a bit weeks of weaning, I've joined Jannine and others in the Bad Mummies Club ;)

That swimming class sounds really good Nutella, all I've seen advertised round here are really expensive courses where you have to pay for the lot up front. Not too keen on those as if I get a load of work on I might end up having to miss a week, and the cheapskate in me doesn't like wasting £!

Edited to add: Nutella we've had George on jars of baby porridge and I had a voucher for a plum pouch which he's had a bit of yesterday. He's taken a bit of a backwards step with weaning though, even things he loved at first he's not keen on anymore.

Jakey isn't even 3 weeks old yet and I've got pouches of Annabel Karmel food and jars of Cow and Gate food in the cupboard. Admittedly I won them but still lol :p x

I don't go to baby groups either! I've always hated having to try and fit in with a large group.

They are not always friendly either some of them are very b***hy and I dont need that!

We sometimes go to a toddler group but if I didn't know people there I wouldnt go. I say sometimes, I went once and keep meaning to go again but never seem to have time :o Chuckles (7 months at the time) couldn't care less about it, I think its only from about 18 months they enjoy those things.

And with squeak I never went to any and she's doing very well. Baby groups arent necessary really and your HV has no business being horrified.

We like the library rhyme time, but that's only because squeak discovered singing hands on YouTube and I thought she might like to see people singing in real life :o
