The one I use most is a TT Sports Cap Bottle, it's 12months plus but he can manage it
I'll find a link. He doesn't like it though and won't take much from it.

This is the one Sammie, but I got it from Boots and it was £4.

Thanks. I just had a look on the tommee tippee website. Big mistake, they do about 100 different beakers! I'm going to have a look in sainsburys tomorrow so I will look for the one Aaron likes.
I also have to ask you Gilly where do you keep all these beakers?!!!!

....erm.... so delurking a bit here. I've booked my homebirth today (35+1), can any of you lovely ladies who have had a home birth let me know anything I have to do or get to prepare?
I will be getting a pool and am aware of the perils of making sure you can get the thing full and warm in time, but all other suggestions welcome!!
Thanks!
Hi Savage, I can recommend the value shower curtains from Tesco as a waterproof sheet (£1.77 I think), I had to get out of the pool to deliver the placenta as it didn't want to come on its own and this protected our sofa perfectly. Also get a cheapy mirror for the midwife to use to examine you in the pool from a pound shop or similar, we forgot and had to use the only small mirror in the house which I used to use to do my hair!
Have you thought about a tens machine? I used mine for the first half of my labour and it got me to 6cm dilated (which was when the midwife checked me when she first arrived and said I could get into the pool).
Put away any towels that you don't want to get used as one of my 'everyday towels' was used accidentally and it got blood on it which won't wash out.
Have an old pillow close at hand that your birth partner can kneel on next to the pool, with hindsight this would have saved my DW very sore knees. DW sat on a chair next to the pool most of the time I as in there but I needed her to be down next to the pool when I was pushing to help support my arms as they got tired holding on to the side of the pool.
I hope this helps, good luck with your homebirth. If you have any questions just ask!

Morning ladies
We had the worst night to date last night. He woke at 12 and would not settle back, I dont know what it was but he was screaming and screaming. I have never heard him like it. He didnt want to be held but he didnt want to be on his own, he didnt want to lie next to me....god knows. I gave him some milk at 2 but after he drank it he screamed again!
He dropped off about 3 but woke on and off until waking up for the day at 653I feel exhausted. More worried as to why he was like that. He is all smiles now but I am concerned. He does have a cold and his nasty cough is back again but theres no point going to doctors as they send me away!
I really hope he doesnt do it again tonight, he must have woke my street up if was that loud.
Have a good day all. We both need a nap this morn then need to go and get him a thermometer.xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea
