That sounds awful sunshine, hope you get chance for a nap this morning. Could it be teething?
We had a fairly good night, only up twice. He's full of beans this morning though, wriggling around while I was trying to give him his breakfast - nearly got banana in his eye!
I had a read back of your sippy cup conversation last night - does anyone know what the recommendations are re giving bf babies water (or expressed milk) in a cup once you start weaning? I might take him to get weighed later so I can ask the hv. he needs to start learning how to use a cup! (Any excuse to buy one of those cute doidy cups)

Im not sure what it was katie, he is a bit offish still but nothing like last night. OH says its prob his cold and he could have had a headache, felt dizzy etc like ee do. That isnt nice for us so maybe thats what was the matter. Have decided to walk into town in a bit. I think we both need some fresh air and then I will try and sleep this afternoon, I would far rather he had a long sleep (which he usually does if we go out in the pram) than us both have 20mins and wake up feeling groggy.
I think you can start him with a cup whenever. In one of our books it says to always give them a cup with a meal so they get used to it being there and being offered. Aiden gets on quite well with all sippy cups surprisingly, doesnt have the whole hang of picking up and tipping but will drink from it. May get one of those doidy things too though!!

Morning
Sunshine - hope you manage to get a chance to catch up on some sleep today, lack of sleep is a nightmare.
Katiechoc - I really need to get Noah drinking out of a cup or beaker too.
My baby monitor picked up someone else's baby crying this morning, really freaked me out at first because I couldn't work out what was going on!!

Nice and thick and bouncy if dropped (that's the plan anyway!).
And also plan on getting a doidy cup.
I think I was looking at these but the ones in your link are more versatile. Don't really want to end up with a load of plastic tat in my house, but I guess if you have a kid that's inevitable"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Ooh, yes, that's true. I didn't think of that in my earlier post. Often if F is feeding calmly then starts squirming it's because he's got a burp. A quick sit up and back rub sorts it out, then back on the booby."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Check out the link below, sunshine. It's the HMRC's calculator to see whether you're better off taking the tax credits or the vouchers x.

Sammie hearing another baby crying on the monitor would freak me out! Luckily our flat is so small if we leave the doors open between his room and our room I still wake up when he's just grumbling to himself rather than actually crying. There are upsides to living in a shoebox!
Hope he has a good sleep while you're out sunshine, I know what you mean about only getting a short nap, it can make you feel worse sometimes I think.Newborn thread member
