Yes, screaming. Total silence and then a high pitched gut wrenching scream and then 4 hours of it he just wouldnt calm down. They're known as night terrors.
Oooh...well if it is that, atleast I know its nothing actually wrong. Might google it, thanks. xLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Nutella thanks for asking, feeling a little more human today! Still got a croaky voice but it doesn't scare Reuben any more
I'm sure i have a daredevil child. Put him safely on the floor on his gym or mat, and he'll stay in the same place. Pop him on the sofa or the bed (basically somewhere he could fall from) and he rolls over, scoots on his back, won't stay still!
Gosh we don't have a thermometer here, does that make me a bad mummy :rotfl: I've never taken his temperature. I like fluff's spit and sizzle idea0 -
I dont have a thermometer eitherThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Nutella How does the contactless thermometer work? Sounds interesting.
Off to breastfeeding support group in a minute, so I've expressed an ounce off each breast to make sure they're not engorged, and I've packed my nipple shields and breast shell as well as a bottle of pre-expressed breast milk in case he doesn't latch and gets hungry. Will be the first time I've tried to latch him on since being diagnosed with the mastitis, and I've a day's worth of antibiotics left to take from the one week course. Fingers crossed we succeed again and that I don't get pain that sends me through the roof - it's alright swearing in the privacy of your own home, but not really in front of people feeding their babies. lol Group starts at 1.30pm so I'd better get a wriggle on. I'm wearing my new nursing bra that I got yesterday too and it makes me feel like my boobs are huge as it gives me cleavage!Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170 -
Good luck with the latching sexy mouse, let us know how it goes
I've got a sleepy little man at the moment, just been to sainsburys and he was almost nodding off in the trolley seat which he never does. Hoping he'll have a good long nap now we're home so I can get some stuff done.Newborn thread member

We're all feeling much better thank you Nutella. I am so starving and cannot wait for my first proper meal again tonight :j need to wait until OH comes home as he's bringing in the ingredients. Surprise surprise though we're all supposed to be better and OH has now got a "cold" he seriously has about 10 colds a year and really does my head in with it. Funnily enough when I get the cold I'm forced to power through, and that was pre-baby!
I hope you all have a lovely time at Butlins Sammie is it for half term? I'm sure the older boys will love it and have you spending a fortune!
Has your high chair came yet Nutella? On the subject on Stokke has anyone saw there new pushchair? £1600 on Mothercare atm. I thought we paid a lot for our pram, gosh.
Katie Fingers crossed for a long nap, A has just woken from a 2 hour nap there, that will be him until bed time though and I know he'l get so cranky as he'l be knackered! He's such a sleepy monster.
Well I best go get some lunch now I can eat, I'm back on Slimming Worldxx

We are going Friday to Monday Gilly. I'm really looking forward to it, they have a Halloween theme this weekend too so we will take the boys costumes with us.

Hi all,
Have done a bit of searching re protein intolerance and came across a couple of posts from Gilly so I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions? LO is 6 weeks old now, her 'acne' has got worse but HV & dr insist it's normal. She seems uncomfortable at night and screams alot/won't settle. We tried infacol, colief & switched to MAM bottles but haven't had much change. She also has raspy/rattley breathing which sometimes wakes her up. It sounds much like an adult with a chesty bug but there is no mucus or a cough. We saw an osteopath yesterday who put all the symptoms together & suggested a protein intolerance. He told us to buy Infasoy which I have done but after googling it seems this isn't recommended for babies under 6m. But it's Cow & Gate & says suitable from birth so not sure what to believe.
Just after any advice from anyone who has been in a similiar situation?0 -
Hey Ladies,
Been missing in action for a while, not been so good, think I had the same bug as you Gilly! Never seen my loo as much (sorry for the TMI!!) Haven't read back yet, but will do this afternoon. Poppy is at my Mum's this afternoon, I've been leaving her there for a few hours at a time to get her use to being there without me.
We have a Braun thermometer, the Consultant recommended that brand to us when we left the NICU. Think it was around £30.00, I've used it a few times and it does the job.
Right going to read back now, don't want to miss any exciting news!
