Nutella How does the contactless thermometer work? Sounds interesting.
I'm not sure about the technology behind it, but it takes the temperature of a human or an item like a bottle of milk (there are two buttons, so you select whether you're going to point it at a human or something else!). Then you just hold it a few cms from your baby's forehead/the bottle/whatever else you want to check (yep, it does get a bit addictive), there's a little red light shining onto the head/bottle, after a few seconds it goes 'beep' and displays the temperature. I really like the non-contact bit - if, for example your LO fell asleep with a fever and you wanted to check their temperature again, you could do that without having to wake them up. An ear or mouth thermometer probably couldn't do that. Plus, it's handy for things like making sure the milk bottles you keep in the fridge is of the right temperature.0 -
I bought a different tommee tippee beaker today, I think it is called "first sips" and Noah has found it alot easier then his other tommee tippee one so hopefully we are getting there
We have one of those - LO struggled the first couple of times, but she can drink from it now. She's only been using it for a week, and for some reason refuses to hold both handles at the same time, but at least she's able to get some water out of it! Hope it works for Noah too.0 -
Absolutely brilliant news SM
your nipples will toughen up, they've just not had the chance so far, but there will be no stopping him now

Did you give him water or milk? I gave her water, so that she wouldn't be hungry and get frustrated, and for the first couple of days I kept two water bottles - her usual one and the beaker one. She wasn't getting much out of the beaker in the beginning, so by keeping two bottles I could switch between them and make sure she actually drunk some water too. She sometimes treats the beaker like a teething toy though, gumming away with no intention of drinking from it...0 -
Nutella - I gave him water in it after his lunch, he is just a stubborn so and so!! I will win in the end though!
Is your little lady still enjoying her jumperoo?
