Aw bless you Ikkle
what a horrific time you are having. Fluff is right, all babies do lose weight at first. I know they don't recommend it but have you thought about giving Jake a dummy? Sometimes it can help sucky babies who just want comfort
I bottle feed and A needed one, especially when he was little, his little jaws would be going all the time, even without a dummy in!

Also I have heard, that babies born with any sort of help forceps/ventouse/c sec tend to have an over inflated birth weight as they have more fluid, as they don't get the chance to have it squished out (it's something along those lines I wish I could be more technical) but it means they are more likely to lose more weight to begin with xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. Another one here who says try a dummy. Honestly, if you took all the advice they gave you, you'd tie yourself in knots. If it works, then it works. They said you can't do bottle and tit feeding because babies get 'confused' but I did with Freddie and there was no problem. Everything is 'wait until breastfeeding's established' but that's fine in an ideal world. In reality, you've just got to do whatever gets you through the night."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

You can't see in the picture but he's fallen asleep with his big, fat arse squashing Sophie. Everytime he shifts a little bit, you hear a gentle squeak"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Lovely pics gilly and fluff!
I'm laying on the sofa and Reuben has fallen asleep on his tummy, laying across my tummy, with his head on my arm and one of his arms protectively wrapped around my boob (mine! He says, lol). It's incredibly cute but i cant post a pic as there is a fully exposed boob in the way - but he looks so lovely that I've actually got a little bit teary looking at him - sniff! How sad I am lol0 -
He does have a dummy too and he sucks his fingers a lot its just those night feeds he seems to be all about the milk, we got told to let him suck our pinky too, think it shocked OH how strong he sucks.
A lovely lady is sending me a medela pump to try so hopefully that will workI can get 30ml from one nipple just by putting a bottle under my nipple while I use the other boob.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx
