Sexymouse, I had those night sweats too after giving birth - they stopped after 3-4 weeks though, so here's hoping yours will disappear very soon. All the best for today and enjoy baby sensory!

Oops been a while for me, I was back at 16lbs last week, eventually after putting 5lbs on  but I've lost 7lbs this week due to being ill  still cannot stomach food and not keeping anything in that I do eat. Horrific, I'd rather have gained than feel like this :(

Sorry you're still feeling poorly Gilly and turtle. Hope you both get back to normal soon!

Enjoy baby sensory sexymouse :). I had the sweats too, all through the pregnancy and for a few weeks after the birth so hopefully you'll be ok again soon.

I'm on my second week of self imposed no baby groups - chickenpox apparently has a 2 week incubation period so theoretically we could still be carrying it I think. Been trying to get through to the docs to ask them what the risk of us passing it on is, don't want to be stuck in inside if there's no real reason!

Have to go to Argos today, the mobile I got a couple of weeks ago after the original broke is going back, its so creaky when its going round you can barely hear the music. Going to try and exchange it for aprojector instead.

    Morning all

Katiechoc - I was going to ask you if you were going to baby groups this week but you have already posted about it. I'm not sure whether to go today either. Noah is alot better but I worry that if he coughs the other mums might get angry with me for taking him! :o
I think I'll see how he is after his lunch as he's sleeping at the moment.

Hi Sammie, sorry to hear Noah's still not 100%. I know what you mean though, I think realistically theres a pretty slim chance of us passing cpox on to anyone, but if I found out another mum had taken that risk with George's health I'd be fuming!

I'm very tempted to go to toy library on Friday though - they're closed for the following 2 weeks so I'd like to see the mums I met again before they forget who I am(!) and also if I hire something I'll get the two weeks they're closed with no charge so 3 for the price of 1. And who can resist that sort of bargain :rotfl: :money:

I'm hoping when I finally get through to the docs they'll say its fine and we're not contagious anymore. Fingers crossed!

It's hard isn't it katiechoc not knowing what to do for the best.
How do I find out about these toy library's and what are they? They sound quite good so would like to find out if there is one local to me.

I think someone on here mentionned one once, so I just googled toy library, farnham, and it popped up. Some of them are just a library type thing - once a week in a village hall where you turn up, pay £1 or however much for each toy and its yours for a week. (I think rules vary from place to place) The one near me has that and also a play group at the same time which is really good. They set up tons of stuff for the kiddies, finger painting, playdough station... and if you see a toy you want to hire you just put a £1 in the pot and take it at the end! Great for us as we really don't have space to hang on to loads of toys.

You could try searching on facebook too maybe. Seems like some people are using FB pages rather than actual websites for groups like this.

Thanks for your kind wishes :) xx

OH got sick on Saturday, but has had to go back to work today as we can't really afford for him to have days off, we've just paid out a shed load for flights for us all to go home and visit my family in a few weeks, and are pretty skint because of that. A was sick yesterday morning, and fine all day, but then sick 4 times in the middle of the night, he's been fine this morning but I've only given him 2 small bottles. I am so over this, I don't think I've ever had a bug as bad in all my life.

Agree about baby group, I'd be upset if I thought A had caught something from someone that could have been prevented, but I am of the belief, coughs and colds do them no harm, and trying to prevent them all is impossible. Things like bugs/chicken pox/measles etc are a different kettle of fish though.
