Our new car seat arrived yesterday. His head is completely over the top of his infact carrier now  This is rear facing until 26lbs which is good, as he's too young to be forward facing, but too big for small carrier. What a palaver. He seems to like it though :D

    What a cute pic sammie!

I don't mind taking G to get weighed, I quite like seeing how he's doing on the graph, another sad mummy to join your club sunshine and sammie :o. But it can mean hanging around for a good 30-40 minutes in a hot little portacabin type thing, and I feel uncomfortable asking them any questions as everyone else can hear and look impatient. Last time I went a new hv looked in the red book and said really loudly "oh I see you've been put on anti depressants for pnd". Could have done without the whole room of strangers knowing about that to be honest.

 can't believe your HV said that. They are supposed to look out for you and baby. How horrible. :(
You are more then welcome to join our club!! Good job we don't live near each other, imagine how annoying we would be all together!!
Still waiting for my pushchair! Might go and Hoover my car out whilst Noah is sleeping.

On a different note is anyone looking forward to emmerdale tonight? I'm so excited!! :o

Oh poor you :( I love our clinic! Its a massive room with 2 sets of scales and 6 changing mats. Im never waiting more than 10mins and I always end uo chatting to a couple of mums. Shame yours is hot and small :( have you tried any other clinics?

To be honest I haven't, but I've heard from mum friends that other clinics around here are equally over-subscribed, and the one we go to is a two-minute walk from our house, so really convenient... No one ever talks to each other in my waiting room - weigh-in starts at 12.30 and people start arriving before 12 to get in the queue. But they don't start handing out the queue numbers until 12.30, so everyone just sits* there eyeing each other up and making sure that no one who arrived after you sneaks in ahead of you! There's only one HV doing the weighing, only one scale and two changing mats. The first time I went to get LO weighed was a really really hot day - I arrived early and was number 17 in the queue  I couldn't face it and left without getting her weighed. I'm very jealous of your clinic!

    * The lucky ones sit - if you don't arrive early enough it's standing room only and you might have to leave your pram in the hallway as the room is too crammed...

Gilly, looks like he's happy with his new seat! Which make is it? I know you said a while back, but I can't remember... :o We need to get a new one too - LO's starting to look rather squashed in her infant seat...

It's a Britax First Class Plus. I was going to go for an Extended Rear Facing seat, but we don't have a car, so he's only in it occasionally and couldn't justify £300 for one. So we got this as it's the next best thing, he's not 18lbs yet and if he can rear face until 26lbs it should last him a while yet :o It does turn around though and should do until 4 years.

That colour is down to £99 at Boots at the moment.

Thank you Nephthys, I'm sure if you told him he'd be all smiles. Loves women talking to him, he has the head cocked and toothy smile down to a T. Wee charmer.

Quick question for the jumperoo fans... How much floor space does the Fisher Price rainforest one take up? I can't find the dimensions anywhere, but need to figure out if we can squeeze it into our living room. I need somewhere to put LO - she gets bored so quickly now I even struggle to grab some lunch, never mind getting anything else done!

A fair bit Nutella, I don't know dimensions as ours is packed away. If you can squeeze it in though, definitely go for it! They are fab :)
