It's a Britax First Class Plus. I was going to go for an Extended Rear Facing seat, but we don't have a car, so he's only in it occasionally and couldn't justify £300 for one. So we got this as it's the next best thing, he's not 18lbs yet and if he can rear face until 26lbs it should last him a while yet
It does turn around though and should do until 4 years.
That colour is down to £99 at Boots at the moment.
Thank you - think I might get one. We don't have a car either, so only use the seat for occasional taxi journeys etc, so like you I don't want to spend a lot.0 -
Sammie I love the face-down-on-the-floor look!! :rotfl:
Gilly he certainly looks like he is enjoying his new seat! That is a bargain too!
I have the hot, stuffy, limited space clinic experience too - not worth the hassle. I like the baby bath idea though, think I'll do that in a bit
We had swimming today, I'm not sure who loves it more, me or Reu!0 -
Love the pics today!
That seat looks good gilly, and it can turn around when he gets bigger? I definitely like the rear facing-ness for the safety aspect but we couldn't really afford to get a rear facing one and then another when he's even bigger.
Nutella I just measured ours, it's about 90cm x 90cm. Pretty big but sooo worth it IMO! Ours is crammed in between the tv unit and my office desk.Newborn thread member

Yes it turns around Katie.
The proper rear facers will do until 4 years old too, some like the Maxi Cosi Mobi are around £200, so not too bad if you have a car. If we get a car in the near future I will probably end up splashing out for oneBut until then that will have to do, I think he's a while off 26lbs yet though

Thanks so much Katie - I've just measured the available amount of floor space, and we'll be able to squeeze it in (just). Just ordered - it'll arrive tomorrow! :j0 -

Hi Ladies,
Love the pictures today!
Fluff - Freddie is super cute, what a lovely smile he has!
Had to laugh at Noah Sammie falling asleep like that, Poppy never has been able to fall asleep in random places like that!
Aaron's legs seem really long in that picture Gilly, looks like he's going to be a tall boy! Bless him though, he looks a right cheeky monkey!
My baby clinic is in a new building with plenty of room and I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes to have her weighed. I have to take her every 2 weeks to keep a check on her weight. I can't believe your HV spoke about your private medical problems Katie in front of other people, its a disgrace! My GP told me to tell my HV that I've been prescribed anti-depressants and sent for counselling for PND, but I haven't told her! I'm not that keen on her to be honest and thought its my decision who I talk to about my own health. There isn't anything in my red book about my medication.
Poppy's gone for a nap and I've sat down with a brew and a magazine that I've just bought from my corner shop and there is an article in it call 'Breastfeeding my dog for 2 years has made me a better Mum!!':eek:

Jannine, don't even talk about his height, lol it confuses the hell out of me. He's 91st centile for height, but all his 6-9 months baby grows are too long in the leg, but his 6-9 month trousers are short (no matter what brand) He's between 9th and 25th for weight so he is slim. No idea what's going on there. He has some grows that are 6-12months though and they fit better, but I can still get him in 3-6 months vests?
He is v.cheeky. He knows how to do it in a way that it just makes me laugh tooI need to learn to be more stern as he gets older
I saw that article, it's horrific, she bottle fed her children too, which is great, but why the hell would you then think oh I'll just get my t!t out for the dog? :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Welcome Ikkle87, fab to see you over here! What a gorgeous picture and a very good sized boy!! Hope you're taking care of yourself after your section?
Gilly - I know what you mean about baby clothes and sizes, they only fit well if your baby is the 'norm' for weight, height etc! Not much good in your case with a long, thin babe! Just reading the article now, I love my dogs to bits, but my god! What is going through her mind when she is breastfeeding her dog?!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
