Sexy mouse I know you are on the fb group, so have a look at a recent post by olwen, lots of info am links on there.
We have an upper lip tie and a posterior tongue tie here. Awful feeding problems - I had a "clicky" feeder too.
In order to breastfeed correctly, your baby needs to push their tongue upwards, which creates a vacuum, they then massage your breast with a back-to-front wave motion to stimulate the milk flow.
A posterior tongue tie can pin the tongue down meaning they can't create that vacuum, and that's the clicking you can hear - he's getting his tongue up and creating the seal, then "pop" it's being pulled back down. I can only imagine how frustrating that must be for them, no wonder they get angry at your boob!! I know my boy certainly did.
I'm going to have a bit of a google and see if I can find a video I saw once showing a posterior tongue tie, you can't see it and then they press and out it pops. You do need a specialist to diagnose it though.
I'm off out to view a house but I'll look and post it later.
We had the tongue toe snipped and left the lip tie. He still doesn't flare his top lip out but it doesn't affect his feeding, the tongue tie being snipped was enough, so I didn't see the point getting it done. I also have a large upper like tie and have no gap in my teeth, never needed braces, and no speech problems.0 -
Oh and sunshine yay for standing...but. Uh oh you're going to be tired chasing him around soon
Sammie smashing pic, so cute, mine just goes nuts in the jumperoo, he'd never fall asleep as he just gets more and more hyper in it lol0 -

I do the easy routine loosely with Niall, follow the pattern of eat, activity, sleep but not to certain timings. I breastfeed on demand so he feeds, has soon play, I watch out for tired eyes or yawning then try and get him to have a nap. Sometimes he will sleep for 30 mins sometimes an hour or longer if he is in baby sling. Sometimes Niall won't sleep and we will go straight to another feed. At nighttime the routine does not apply and it's feed and sleep.
Definitely write down timings of eating and sleeping as there may already be a pattern.:jMarried 16/07/2010, ds1 born 11/08/12, baby due 08/05/20150 -
Ladies Niall seems to be really fighting his sleep at night just wondered if anyone has experienced similar situation.
He was always fussy at night and cluster fed, then last feed before half 9 and we could then get him to sleep in about half an hour. Now things seems to have changed we are now getting smiles at night and I guess he is growing out of his wind problems (9 and a half weeks) we tend to go up about 8.30, read a few books to him until we see tired signs then try and get him to sleep, even though he looks tired he is taking a lot longer to get to sleep 2-3 hours, when he does get off he sleeps for 6 hours and then a feed and another 2. I am hoping this is just a phase.

Aiden grew out of his colic at about 11-12 weeks, night times really changed for us then too.
I think with Aiden, he got so used to being awake till about 10pm it just took him a while to establish a new bedtime. I would say that Niall will eventually find his own pattern and go back to falling asleep quickly. One thing that used to help Aiden was if we had been out for a walk, the fresh air used to make him settle alot better.
It could also just be a phase which will pass quickly.
Hope it passes soon for you hun xxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea
