  • elelyn -have you heard of the E.A.S.Y routine? think its the baby whisperer...no need to buy the book it just breaks down into eating, activity, sleep and you time.

Its not a set routine as such but I found it helpful as a rough guide as to what comes next. when they are little the activity can be something as simple as nappy changing. I foudn my LO then found a rough routine,....I also keot a spreadsheet for a while of when he slept and fed and that helped a lot as I could see that he would always nap sometime between a two hour slot....and it helps you worry less as you cans ee how his days compare to each other

my LO can sit up on his own now which is fine but he wants to do it at nap time and now just woke himself up doing it in hsi sleep...silly boy

Did you go for the cosatto one in the end? I was drooling over their website yesterday after gilly mentioned the cosatto highchairshe has

Yeah we went for the yo blackjack, the Ahoy there limited edition was out of stock.
We looked online and found it for £145 which I thought was quite good.
I really wanted the highchair Gilly has but didn't have the money at the time.
    I love cosatto stuff!!!

Well done Aiden! Part of me can't wait til George is on his feet but the other half is dreading all the running around! If we put him in a sitting position he can sit there for a fair while on his own, until he gets distracted and flops over. Silly boy!

We had a good night last night! Fed him at 11 as I went to bed then he only woke up once at 5 and then back to sleep til 8!!! And he's just gobbled down his breakfast (baby porridge with a chunk of mushed up banana).

Today we've no plans as I daren't risk going to baby group like normal when we might be carrying chickenpox. Gutted as I really like the Tuesday one. Oh is off work today though so might go for a wa instead.

    Yay for George sleeping better!!!!
I missed baby group yesterday too as I went to watch ds1 in his fun run. I really need to find another one to go to as well as Mondays.

Noah has fallen asleep in his jumperoo!!!! Better put him to bed................ I'll take a piccy first!!

Sounds exactly like my Aaron sexy mouse, he has upper lip tie (undiagnosed) and we could never get him to latch, he struggled with bottles too. Definitely take him to be seen as it could really help. Unfortunately we didnt get the necessary help and our breast feeding journey ended. Not to say it would have helped but it's it still grates at me that we were told everything was normal and he was just a 'lazy feeder'

I must be awful then because at 10wks both my younger two slept as and when, most often in the buggy whilst we were on near constant bus journeys :rotfl:

Had a night with a grizzly baby last night - don't know what's the matter with him at the moment - he's very unsettled - could it be another growth spurt? He's 20 days old today, and seemed to have a grown spurt around day 10-12. I tried to get him to latch on again last night as I thought he may respond better as he'd be more relaxed, but he punched my already tender nipple (sore from pumping constantly) with his poorly arm and it really hurt, so I gave up again and gave him his bottle before he got too frustrated. He was awake from then onwards all the way up to the next feed and was grizzling whilst I was pumping in here. He ended up having a feed only an hour after the previous one again as he was obviously hungry still. Going to go to the breastfeeding support group tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully the lady who knows about tongue ties etc will be there as I think he's got an upper lip tie. I was watching him sucking on his bottle last night and it looks like struggles to do that too as his lip seems to tuck under rather than coming up over the top of the teat. Is that normal? He also makes a lot of clicking sounds when he sucks.

I hope you get this sorted Sexymouse. Theo had a tongue tie which was diagnosed by the midwife at birth but she told us it was not at the front of his mouth therefore "shouldn't be a problem for feeding" and it was left as it was. It was a problem and we got it snipped in the end but by that time it was too late and I had given up on breastfeeding (gutted :().

*siddles in from the preg thread and waves*

Hi, I just wanted to say the Cosatto stuff is fab and their customer service was brilliant. We had to make use of their 4 year guarantee for our travel cot and it was sorted out in no time. The repair company got it picked up from my work, checked it out, phoned me to let me know it was being replaced and Cosatto had a new one out to me in less than 2 days - again to my work so was very easy for me. Am so pleased with them. Also have one of their highchairs and the furniture in DS's room is all Cosatto. Love it. Sadly i don't need to get anything for this baby but it doesn't stop me looking! Lol!

I wanted to ask - does anyone here use a stretchy/woven wrap for their LOs? I have a mei tai but may be developing a dangerous sling addiction! Debating not getting a double pram but using a wrap for baby when i have the 2 kids together. just wondered if anyone had experience of any wrap/woven slings they could tell me about? Thanks!
