  • Katie, we have asked my grandad for that walker too for Xmas.

Aiden has a ELC phone, looks like our iphones and he loves it, saves him grabbing ours. He also has a pop up tent that he loves to crawl through.

For Xmas we have got him so far, mickey mouse clubhouse talking mickey, vtech shape sorter turtle and a baby drum thing. My OH is going a bit overboard with ideas so have to put a limit on him I think.

I have a big family so he will already have tons just from them. Xmas is soooo damn expensive!!

Toni - welcome and congrats !! :) just giggled at the mention of naughty cockerel in your signature ! Can't remember when we started wipes but they are easier. Re bathing we waited a bit but we did not put bath stuff in water for ages as a friend said it was better to wait.

Jen - sorry re jumperoo :0 !! They are good though Scott still using his and he's almost 9 months, will keep putting him in it as a least I know where he is too!!
  • bellola - i really understand how you feel, as niall has colic (now 8 and a half weeks) it appeared when he was 2 -3 weeks - infacol helped with him - he takes full dose before everyfed. the cheapest i have found it is at wilkinson for £2.90 because you are probably going to get though 2 pots a week.

infacol helped but we also use colief which is an enzyme to help break down the lactose in milk, it is a bit of a faff to use especially as i am breastfeeding but defiantely worth the results. (really expensive in shops but after buying myself once went and asked GP to prescribe which she did)

i do a bit of baby massage when i can but struggle to find the time, just utube it for colic.

a baby sling has really helped we paid £50 for ours a close caboo which was worth the money in my opinion as really helped niall to get to sleep and meant i could get on with some jobs, DH will also wear in the evening so gives me a rest.

raising legs to chest also helps gets the farts out lol

i remember feeling the same way, i would be looking at my watch waiting for DH to get home so i could hand niall over.

he is 9 weeks sat and things have improved...as he has got older he seems to be able to burp better and get some up. he went from sleeping max 2 and a half hours at night to 6 and a half some nights.

things do get better, hang in there.

Hi Nutella, thank you for thinking of me and sorry it's taken me a while to reply. Weigh in was really good - Theo is now 10lb, up from 8lb 13oz two weeks ago. He is exactly following the curve for the 50th centile so I'm very happy with that.

:j That's great news - hope it's given you some reassurance so you can relax a bit more about the feeding situation now x

Scott already has these, the fisher price remote control is really good for distracting them when changing or leaving with them. Fisher price cookie jar, sadly you cannot help sing the two songs :0!
The leapfrog table is fab and good being able to take off legs. We also have the walker but it has similar functions.

We bought quite a few bits from here as like wooden toys a lot, we got the zebra ride on, a work bench for when he's bigger http://www.kidstoyworld.co.uk/default.asp?m=0

Toni - congratulations and welcome! My LO is 5 months tomorrow, and we still use cotton wool and water (warm straight from the tap - have never boiled it) rather than wipes. This is simply because we prefer it; I know she's OK with wipes as that's what I use when we're out and about. We've given her a bath every evening from birth, and give her face a wipe with cotton wool and water (again, straight from the tap) every morning.

Bellola - sending big ((hugs)). I don't have anything to add to what everyone else has said, but things really do get better. Get some sleep if you can, it's amazing what a difference it can make. Thinking of you x
