Aww Turtlemoose he's a cutie! Love that tuft of hair!!
Another crappy nights sleep here last night, up again at 2.15am, she is like an alarm clock for waking up at 2.15am the past few nights. No lie in either as I had the HV round this morning at 9.30am.
Just back from a walk, a new coffee shop has opened in our village called Poppies! I stopped in there for a latte and a cheese toastie - was lovely and they are very baby friends with the breastfeeding welcome signs so will be popping in there again I think.
Going to try and nap for an hour now with Poppy, I don't normally but I'm so tired I can't think straight.

What a cutie turtle! Boozing already :rotfl:
First haircut Nutella :T. George's hair is growing super quick now, oh reckons there's got to be "how to cut baby's hair" videos on youtube that he's going to watch
Weaning is going really well thanks turtle, apart from the extra veg peeling it entails! I didn't get anything from town in the end - looked in boots and the stage 1 weaning pots are tiny, if one of them is meant to be a meal I must be over feeding George  going to go to the big supermarket and get normal Tupperware instead. Looked in the charity shop for that annabel karmel book too, but no luck. Well, I didn't get anything for George, but I did just gobble a dairy milk as soon as I got through the door! And my mum had posted me a HUGE bar of orange aero too nomnomnomnom
Speaking of extra veg peeling, there's a sweet potato with my name on it...Newborn thread member

Reuben is trying to grab food and drink off me constantly. I'll post a pic in a mo to illustrate... He's only 18 weeks so I want to wait a little longer, but I think he is soooo ready for some food! He certainly seems to think so anyway lol.
Same thing happened to my LO after her second and third sets of jabs - it disappeared within the next day or two, so hopefully Reuben's will too.
My LO tries to grab absolutely everything within reach - food, drinks, newspapers, glasses off people's faces... anything! She's definitely of the curious kind. This morning, she spent 10 minutes carefully watching me eat my cereal - following the spoon from bowl to mouth and back again, and back again, and back again... We're getting ready for weaning at the end of this month - am actually starting to look forward to it now that I've been educating myself on the subject. They don't recommend you start with beer though! :rotfl:0 -

.
Meant to say, George had this after the second set too, he was a bit under the weather as well but after a day or two he was fine and the red mark gradually faded over a week or so.
Right...sweet potato time now. Definitely. I have zero motivation today if you can't tell.Newborn thread member

Is he sleeping any better? X
He's still waking usually a couple if times boo ! U might be applying bumpers to those panels when he gets upright :0 ! I remember the days when I used to walk off and he would still be in the same position, not anymore !

He's probably right - there's a video for everything on YouTube :rotfl:The biggest challenge we had was to get her to sit still - it took ages, as each time my mum had grabbed a little bit of hair and was ready to cut it, LO turned her head to see what she was doing! In the end it took three people - me holding her, my dad distracting her with funny faces and my mum doing the actual hair cut!0 -

I know, Aiden used to lie on the floor on a big blanket and just watch out the window....no more lol!!
Katie, enjoy doing your veggies!! I used some tupperwares and some just did in ice cube trays and bagged them up

I'm feeling so low today, have just sat and cried for about 30 mins whilst feeding LO. I had such a traumatic labour, stayed in hospital a week and now I think LO has colic. She is constantly screaming so have got some infacol to try but last night we both only got about 2 hours sleep. And to top it off I'm getting pretty bad headaches almost every other day. So feeling very teary and can't wait for DH to come home so I can have a break. Sorry to bring the thread down but I just needed to get it out. I'm really scared about PND, I feel like I have the potential to get it but how do you prevent it?0

Oh hun, big hugs. My baby had horrific colic, if you think she does have it try dentinox drops - they worked best for us. I know its hard when they constantly cry but it isnt your fault and as much as its hard to believe-it does get better and easier, honestly.
Talk to your OH when he gets home, maybe have a nice long bath or shower while he has baby for a bit?
I havent had PND so cannot comment but if you feel low I would def talk to someone as bottling it up is no good. Keep chatting to us on here, dont be silly about dragging the thread down-its here for everyone and anything at all! XxxxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Elelyn, how did weigh-in go today? Been thinking of you x
Hi Nutella, thank you for thinking of me and sorry it's taken me a while to reply. Weigh in was really good - Theo is now 10lb, up from 8lb 13oz two weeks ago. He is exactly following the curve for the 50th centile so I'm very happy with that.Nutella I was told that the baby can stay on first milk and that follow-on milk is a gimmick to make you spend more.
I was told that that the reason the manufacturers invented all these different milks was to get around the laws around advertising - they are not allowed to advertise first milk.I'm feeling so low today, have just sat and cried for about 30 mins whilst feeding LO. Huge hugs for you Bellola. I know exactly how you feel. Theo has been suffering with colic. We actually took him to the doctors on Monday as he had such a bad night and I wanted to satisfy myself that it was just colic and nothing more sinister. We have been using Infacol and for the first 4 days there didn't seem to be much difference but I am now managing to get his wind up and that has made a big difference to the colic attacks. My advice is to persevere with the Infacol as it does take a few days to kick in. It's so horrible though when they are in pain and there's nothing you can do to soothe them.
I also understand your fears re PND as I have had really bad days when I wondered the same thing. I'm not sure whether you can prevent it but I know it is treatable and the main thing is catch to early. If you keep feeling the same then maybe make an appointment with your GP to discuss it and see what they say. Have you got plenty of family support too? I found talking everything through with someone really helped. Also try and get some sleep when you can as tiredness makes everything seem ten times worse.0
