bellola - hugs, I hope you will feel better soon. Can't advise on PND and colic but if you're bottle feeding maybe you should try a different bottle?

Thank you everyone for your kind words and suggestions.

Hubby got home at 4 and ran me a bath and has taken over care of LO. I'm now just about to go up to bed to try and get a few hours before the night feeds. I'm hoping things just feel worse because we had such an awful night last night and because of this headache I can't shift. Thursday's are my mum's day off and she takes LO in the afternoon out for a long walk so I can get an hour or twos sleep so really looking forward to that!

I will give the infacol a go for a few days and see how we get on but if not then I will look at some of the other suggestions.

LO is 4 weeks today so I have check up at the docs in a couple of weeks so if I'm still feeling low and getting headaches then I will certainly bring it up then. That gives me a couple of weeks to try and sort the colic out and sort myself out.

Luckily OH is a teacher so he has half term off in a couple of weeks which will make such a difference.

    Thanks again everyone xx

Hello Toni :-) welcome. I used wipes from the beginning, I have always used pampers sensitive and we've never had rash at all here x

Yep, that's what I done. We bathed from birth too, maybe 3 times a week, but from about 6 weeks he got a bath every night as he enjoyed it. Still does now, as long as you only use water and not loads of products it shouldn't dry the skin out much :)

Thanks gilly, good to have positive reviews! Jealous of your bargain turtle!!!! Any other toys that have been a hit?

Welcome Toni, congratulations! We used wipes from the start too, we get tesco own brand unfragranced and never had a problem. Did get fragranced once by mistake and they were fine too.

Bellola- hope u get some decent rest. I freely admit first weeks with Scott were a sleep deprived blur. Hubby used to look after Scott until 10:30-11pm I went to bed early around 7:30 and that short block of sleep before night time wakes helped. Also if you can lie down and feed eg a pillow even in the day just the act of lying down can help you rest even if your not sleeping. Also worth mentioning although Scott did not have colic in sure I've heard it mentioned for reflux to elevate one end of the cot slightly in case that is an issue. Also if bottle feeding some bottles are better than others re anti colic designs.
I can remember being teary but with the tiredness and hormones it's not easy and if you had a difficult labour too. I understand you will see your Gp if you don't feel better as they can help you lots of women suffer.
Also could try sling etc as might help settle baby.
Glad ur mum is helping you, am sure she will help even more if you ask/ explain how your feeling xx
