oh bless jenjade, im sure you will get into a routine with it. x is there no where in the uni you can plug in and express, im sure there must be a quite private room somewhere they can let you use.
ok so baby brain has settled big time, i booked a cheap ferry crossing to france for a couple of hrs for this half term to give the boys something different to do, but have just realised samuel has no passport yet, doh. what do you think my chances are of getting one before feb the 13th lol, oh well my mum has been dying to get her hands on him for the day lolnow proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -
Jenjade -maybe you could get a manual pump for college? That is good she took the bottles well, Poppy took one when she was really small then i didn't give her one for a while and then she wouldn't take one. Trying to get her to drink milk out of a cup for when i go back to work. Bet you missed her loads.
Lauralou - i started taking Poppy to groups when she was about 7 weeks but i have seen younger babies at groups. When they are that little is more for your benefit than theirs.
Caroline - some great advise there about bfing. A lot of babies cluster feed in the evening when they are tiny. I could never get Poppy to sleep properly before about 1am for ages , is perfectly normal and does get easier.
We have been to under 1's today, love how Poppy now disowns me when we go out and won't come near me haha.0 -
Waterbabies - we are on our second term already. It is expensive but also the only weekend class near us as i really wanted oh to have the experience. The pool we go to is very basic but we enjoy the classes and i would recomend it. :-) had our underwater photo shoot and am just waiting for the picture, that was £££££££££!
Formula - if i make a bottle up how quickly do i have to use it by? Want to try jacob with a bottle tonight. (im too lazy to express and i just got grumpy at throwing milk away when jacob refused the bottle)
Met my friends today and found another mil who thinks they know best. My friend is now worried about her baby waking too often.Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

formula, it say to drink within 2 hrs but i find it goes cold quite quickly to be honest. when i take samuels bottle up of a night i put the water in the bottle and place it in a bottle holder and add the powder when he is ready to drink it. generraly around 3 to 4 hrs later and its just right. if baby sleeps longer than that fill the bottle up with the boiling water and when they are ready just tip out what you dont need then add the powder.

or if you havent a bottle holder you can just wrap in a towel to keep water warm. its what i used to do with my other two.now proud mum to 3 handsome boys :j latest one born 10/10/11:j0 -

Im feeling a bit more positive today, probably because Zak has slept all day - making up for being awake all night so am feeling a bit worried about tonight as he will probably want to be awake again. Dont know how to get him out of this routine. Do all the things like low lighting, quiet talking etc at night and during the day lights on/curtains open, tv on and doing general things.
Looking at a local baby massage class which looks good for end of Feb. Feeling like I might find out about the local bf class too if im feeling brave. Does anyone think the breastfeeding butterfly cover up from faye and lou is a good item to have if feeling self conscious about feeding in public? Not sure if its worth the money but its on offer from bounty club for £17.99 instead of the usual £27.99

i would recommend the breastfeeding group. i have braved 4 group so far and liked the breastfeeding one most. the butterfly looks good i use Ellies blanket to cover me. i am not worried about them seeing my boob but i have a horrid belly and stretch marks!
Ellie keeps clamping her mouth shut while feeding 4 times today so painful. I have to say the breastfeeding is not going to well. i am so sore and my boobs have extra hold where she has pierced my breast. i am so reluctant to feed her now coz it husts. Have been using nipple shield and lanolin cream but it is not really helping.
Also the breastfeeding group is on fridays and i am away this weekend:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heartProven to be a little fighter and battling on with her heart condition :j
