TT were terrible for wind with us, really really bad. The MW told us the minute we said we were suffering "TT bottles?"
She recommended Dr Brown & Mam to us, and we didn't look back. Cost us a fortune in replacing 4 times  but when we switched everything was better, his sleep, more content. I have heard nothing but praise for them even for exclusively breast fed babies who's mums had torn there hair out trying all bottles under the sun and they took to those. I love the fact I can self sterilise them too, so I put an espresso machine where my steriliser used to beThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Just quickly we do have this walker which is leapfrog , it does have similar functions to the table, the front can be detached so can be played with on the floor, the wheels are lockable and it's stable. I know some prefer vtech walkers but we had the table then bought this not realising most of functions are similar but Scott loves it http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B005F41AIC/ref=asc_df_B005F41AIC9873387?smid=A112LTL2GXGMT5&!!!!!googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B005F41AIC0

All babies are different moneypenny. Mam stuff sells brilliantly on Ebay, so if for a strange reason you don't get on with them, they will re-sell well
I sold all my teats from the bottles as we went straight onto size 3 teats (another long story) and made a good bit back
But I can't see it as they are brilliant. xx

moneypenny - I also cannot recommend MAM bottles enough. My LO has NO PROBLEM switching between breast and bottle and NEVER had any colic. They self-sterilise so less hassle than with other bottles. We don't use a brush as when you take off the bottle's bottom your hand easily goes in and you can give it a good wash. We have a microwaveable TT steriliser and it's fine. It fits a MAM breast pump, bottle body (needed for breast pump to work) and a MAM breastmik container.0

Hi!! I come from the pregnancy thread to see if any of you has experience with the Medela Swing Electric Pump with calma. The reviews are great but the price not that much, I am considering buying on eBay to halve the price, but I'd like to know if it is really that good and worth my money. The claim is that it estimulates the nipple just as baby does, and thus is more comfy. The calma teat that comes with it is said to work as the breast would and milk only flows if baby works, so it is easier to alternate with BF or even "train" baby to breastfeed if it is difficult at first... Is there any truth to that? I am a total newbie and I believe most of what the brand and the shopping assistants say... which is dangerous with a tight budget.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Morning ladies, hope mums and babies all slept soundly?
We didn't - he went from 10.30 til 2 then was up 4 times between then and 6. Not sure that it is hunger waking him as the last two times he barely ate at all. Going to try and settle him with a cuddle tonight if its not been long since his last feed.
We're going into London for the day today do wont be on til later, hope all have good days
Martafdz - I can't comment on the swing as I don't have one but I'm sure someone will be along soon. Definitely take all recommendations from sales staff with a pinch of salt - a newborn has very few actual NEEDS out side of something to wear, something to sleep in, car seat and cuddles. And I should know, I'm in the running for world's biggest cheapskate.
Edited to add: and food obviously. It's too early after too little sleep for my poor brain to be working!Newborn thread member

Morning. Freddie's not had the best night - very unsettled since 4am. Kept squealing and guffing and then started with hiccups around half five at which point I got us both up. Been watching the news (me) and playing in baby gym (him) since then."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
