We built our babyden this weekend, oh it's so brilliant! Big enough I can get in too with him, and solid enough I know he's safe :)
  • Oops, I thought it was just until testing was over, have edited out, thanks aimless.

Reuben is in his jumperoo, he has figured out how to push backwards with his feet, then let go so it swings him forward, he has also discovered the dangly parrot and talks to him :D

It is a big cage! Put it this way, his big brother for some reason is sitting in there at the mo :D I lined the sides with foam mats and it looks good :)

I'll put up a pic sometime when I'm on my laptop.

Turtle, I sometimes get an intense stabbing pain on the inside too - never lasts long, so I wouldn't say it's really affecting me much, but when it does happen it's strong enough to make me stop what I'm doing so I can breathe it through. I've heard it's normal - the wounds on the inside take a lot longer to heal than the one you can see on the outside...

Aimless and Turtle - I think it's the results we have to wait for, not just the testing x

  • Hello ladies, long time no type! Although I have been sneaking on for a read every so often. Hope everyone is doing ok.

We got home from visiting various arms of the family today, completely shattered but had a lovely time. Took George to meet my gran too, she's in a care home with Alzheimer's, seeing George made her day. Me and my mum took him to the beach at Filey yesterday which was lovely - we went on our summer holiday there every year from when I was6 weeks old til I was a bout 14, and me and oh got married there too, it's my favourite place in the whole world :o

George has been sleeping terribly though, he was going through a bad phase before we left and it's got worse with being away - up four times each night which is the worst it's ever been. He seems hungry constantly, if the nights don't pick up now we're home I'm going to have to either try formula at bedtime or speak to the hv about starting weaning early as I'm a wreck at the moment.

Anyway, bit of an essay from me, sorry!

  • Aimless that den looks ace! I would jump in myself :D where are your big foam mats from? I want some for Aiden !

Hi katie :) welcome back lol. Glad you had a lovely family time away. Sorry George has been unsettled, how old is he now, re the early weaning?

Aiden has hardly slept today. Trying the self settle thing but for me personally I am not strong enough to let him cry and I know our neighbour can hear so am always dubious of that. I kept putting down, cry, cuddle till stops and put down again etc etc. He will drop off but only sleeps 30 mins as opposed to usual hour and a half in the afternoon. Now he is shattered so hoping we have a good night.

He tried fish tonight for the first time. Just some white fish poached in milk with some mash and he loved it :)

Sorted our mortgage finally! Got a fab fixed rate at 3.79% :T means we will save atleast £200 a month compared to now, will all go on nursery fees but still helps.

    Hope everyone is well xxxx
