    Morning!

Good luck for today turtle, how awful that you're not allowed to tell your side of the story :( I hope it gets better and you get the outcome you want.

Not much going on here, I weighed munchkin yesterday, he is exactly 17lbs and 33 weeks on Saturday so still light, but following his line perfectly so all his eating isn't piling the pounds on, he must just be a hungry boy.

OH's day off today, trying to get him to decide if he'd like to do something but it's like pulling teeth, I hate just sitting about the house when we could be out doing something but I wont hold my breath.

I love this time in the morning where I can sit with my cupola in peace, OH and baby still sleeping. Lovely :)

  • Morning :)

Hope today is better turtle, do you have more questioning to go through?

We're at the in laws now, been ok so far except a couple of comments about how he's not tired when I put him to bed last night (went straight to sleep with absolutely no fuss - good boy!) and again just now when I said it was about time for a nap. Apparently he should be up longer before I put him down. I know they mean well but having to justify what I'm doing gets a bit boring!

Anyway, it's OH's bday today so we're going shopping with his mum for his present and probably have some dinner out somewhere, hope everyone has good days.

Edited to add: I'm the same gilly, oh is always happy to stay at home on his days off but I like to be out and about, guess its because I'm at home all the time so I get a bit of cabin fever.

Thinking of you turtle. Hope today is a bit less intensive.

Aiden was 6mnths exactly yesterday :) not a baby anymore. He has just had one of those cow and gate wheat bisks, just half a one though as it made tons! Plus a bit of toast to suck on. He is such a good boy at meal times, everything I have made he has eaten!

Gilly you are lucky! Aiden had me up at 615! Dont mind too much as he went through from 750. But would love an hour on my own to get started in the morn!

Quiet day here. OH has took my car into work so he can vac and wash it on his lunch so looks like we are stopping in.

Katie I know the feeling, I went home when A was around 6 weeks and was continually being asked 'what he needs a nap already?' every single day, done my head in!

Sunshine, we've never used the wheat bisks, did you just put enough milk on to soften it and let him pick it up or what? We're having peanut butter on toasty this morning, well baby is, I had porridge :)

    Toasty? Lol toast! Damn autocorrect

  • I put enough on to soften it and then more to mix it together. As they are quite dry though they seem to suck up the milk! I suppose you could just let them pick it up though? Packet says to add banana, yoghurt etc but I just did it plain and he really liked it.

Heres a question, at clinic last week my hv said we can use whole milk in cooking. So I have made him things like poached fish with white sauce and mash potato etc but can he have it in porridge?! I forgot to ask the hv.

Yes technically he can but they say to introduce it gradually in case he has any allergies or anything.

Ahhh grand il Maybe get some then. He doesnt really like being fed by us anymore so I don't tend to spoon much so if I can make it so he can pick it up it'd be great x

How much formula does he take? If he's reducing I'd maybe still use it where you can, not with fish etc but in porridge and cereal. Our milk doesn't have all the nutrients etc in it that formula does.

He could however move on to follow on milk now, which is often on offer and you get boots points for it, it's slightly cheaper too and has more iron than 1st stage formula.

I didn't watch it, I was watching the bake off! I like to torture myself with all the stuff I can't eat :) x

    Morning everyone

Turtlemoose - I'm sorry it didn't go well for you yesterday, I hope today is more positive for you. Xx

Sunshine - I have seen the baby weetabix in Asda so may have to try Noah on them and see what he thinks.

Having a relatively quiet day today I think, going to do some cleaning and chill for a bit. Ds1 has swimming lessons tonight so it's always a rush on Wednesday evenings.
We walked to school again today, doing really well but don't feel any fitter, I thought I'd feel like an athlete by now!!

Hope everyone has a nice day.
    Xx
