Welcome student mrs- fab labour story well done! Niall was also a very sleepy baby and I am using a sheild to feed him as well, it's a bit messy and hope in future to get him straight on boob.

Woo hoo my thank you cards have arrived from boots, not must get sending/handing them out.

Anyone else using cheeky wipes? I think hey are great

How much formula does he take? If he's reducing I'd maybe still use it where you can, not with fish etc but in porridge and cereal. Our milk doesn't have all the nutrients etc in it that formula does.

He could however move on to follow on milk now, which is often on offer and you get boots points for it, it's slightly cheaper too and has more iron than 1st stage formula.

I didn't watch it, I was watching the bake off! I like to torture myself with all the stuff I can't eat :) x

He is currently on 4 7oz bottles a day. We bought a follow on last week for when this one runs out. Love that it gives me points too :)

His brekkie usually takes 3-4 oz of milk so may do 2 formula with 1-2 cows.

Just done all my ironing and watched dont tell the bride and he is still napping, very odd for my usually 45 minute napper!!

Mozzy, I tried anbesol liquid and have to say it didnt seem to do alot for Aiden. For him, granules or dentinox gel works best. Have some nurofen so will try that too, thanks :)

Hope all having a good day xxx

  • Had a bit of a nightmare with teething last night, it's the first time we've had a proper grumping session. He was really tired, I'd given him some calpol, and he had 6 breast feeds. At this point he was still awake so I reluctantly made up2oz formula - the first time I've had to do that, but I just didn't have the energy to make more milk. Then another 2oz formula, then another breast feed... and finally he went to sleep. Didn't settle in the cot after 12.30, so 4 more bf's and an hour later I put him in bed with me. Unfortunately he kept crying in his sleep and waking me. He has one tooth poking through now, and another that's bumpy just below the skin, so hopefully they will be out fully soon.

Hello student_mrs, and the other new people!

Hope you are having a better day today Turtle.

I took Elliot to work this morning and he threw up cheesy goo all over the office carpet. I wonder if they ever clean those carpets, or if it will smell of baby vomit for ever....

    Hello all :)

I think autumn has arrived - and so suddenly too, wasn't prepared for that! We've got the heating on! :(

Went to my post-natal exercise class again this morning, was really good but hard work. Brought LO's playmat along, so she was happy too :)

Turtle, hope today went better than yesterday - sounded pretty horrible.

All this talk of weaning... it scares me! Milk is so nice and easy, can't she just be on formula forever?... :o She was 4 months yesterday, so thankfully I have another 2 months to get myself mentally ready, buy ice cube trays, bibs and a tripp-trapp - oh, and actually read those weaning books I bought a month ago...

Bluebell, hope Elliot is OK and sleeps better tonight. And poor thing throwing up in the office - although it might just prompt them to get the carpets cleaned now... :o
  • nutella I'm the opposite....im really excited to see how Reu reacts to different textures and flavors, great fun! My only worry is once he's allowed food both MIL and unfortunately OH too will be shoving chocolate buttons etc his way all the time.

To all who asked, today was actually much better. I don't want to be too specific but someone who was a key witness on their side totally stuffed it up, and even the judge, who has been pretty mean to me so far, pointed out the inconsistencies. There was also some evidence that came out that showed my employer in a bad light for the organisation as a whole - which is great for me as it discredits them.

That's disappointing that even your OH will be giving him chocolate... :( My OH is even stricter than me when it comes to these things, so there's no way she'll get much unhealthy stuff. It really upsets me when I see mums handing their kids a bag of crisps when they complain about being hungry :( I do agree that textures and flavours will be fun, but I think what scares me is the responsibility of making sure she gets the right nutrition and the right amount of food whilst she's still very young, if you see what I mean?... Anyway, I'm sure I'll be OK - millions of people have managed before me... :o

Glad today went better - will you get the verdict on Friday? And how did Reuben get on at the childminder's today?

When will you hear the outcome, turtle?

  • Afternoon ladies.. Hope everyone is well..
Our colicky situation hasn't got any better.. Had serious
    lack of sleep now !
Tried infacol and gripe water which weren't much use.. Got some Colief to try yesterday so expressing milk to add to it.. Have just got back from docs who HV advised to check her over and they've given her baby gaviscon now... Anyone else's baby's been on Colief or Gaviscon... I've heard the gaviscon can make her constipated?
