Have fun swimming ladies!! Jannine, I would assume a sleeveless vest would be ok? I doubt you will be in there for ages and it should be nice and warm?

Toniq, hope you are ok? Cant see what post you were reffering to. x

Been to arrange Aidens christening tonight :) left him with my mum and she was gutted she only got 10mins play with him before he fell asleep!! Got him weighed earlier too and he is 19lb exactly!

  • Hi lovely ladies :) haven't posted in forever, little man is keeping me busy! Hope everyone and their LO's are doing ok!

Just wanted to say (((((((((((hugs))))))))))) to turtle xxxxx

Re green poo, Teddys poo is quite often green! My MIL is a health visitor and says its quite common and is the iron in the milk.....like our poo changes colour when we have extra iron. But he's on Aptamil comfort milk so thats why he gets it often apparantley! Hubbys been pretty good at changing 'code browns' but there was one the other day where he very nearly puked all over our son!

We've had proper laughs, clicking tounges, holding his feet and playing with his willy this week! Not too sure about the last one but loving the other stuff!! :D
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

Thanks gilly, I'll try block feeding for a bit. I just read online that if it goeson for 24 hours or more you should get it checked out, but the hv didn't say anything like that! I'll see how it is tomorrow and maybe take him in on Thursday if it's still not right.
The block feeding should improve things quite quickly. Do you find you have quite a strong let down? If so, you could manually express to get things going, and let some of the initial flow go into a cloth, and then latch him on.. Does he seem gassy too? Thats often a sign of too much foremilk as well.
Get it checked if you are worried.

  • I think I do have quite a fast let down - if he ever pulls off in the first min or two it gets everywhere! He's hardly ever gassy though.

Haha MrsBryan George hasn't found his willy yet, that's one thing I'm not too fussed about him discovering! My oh is a total wimp when it comes to poopy nappies, I did one over the weekend and when I looked up he'd gone and tied a (clean) muslin over his face to avoid the smell!

Bedtime for me now, hope everyone gets a decent night. George didn't do his usual wake up half an hour after bedtime tonight so I'm hoping that's a good omen.

Morning sunshine, that's a good long sleep! George was up at 12, 3, 5.30 and up for the day at 6.30:(. This last week has been worse than when he was brand new! And I woke up to a huge green nappy bomb. Nice.

I've got a friend coming over for dinner today so need to have a tidy up and sort my hair and face out so I look at least a little bit human.

At the moment we've got an Inglesina that we got secondhand from a friend. It's fine, does the job and everything and its a whole travel system so we can fit the car seat to the top of it which the new one won't do. But it's been used for two LOs before we got it and has seen better days really. Like I tried to explain to OH, its not that we need a new one, and George probably won't even know any different but it's something I'm going to be using a lot over the next year or two so I want something I enjoy using.

I saw this and couldn't run... we have a mothercare spin and love it, being able to turn baby Ryan around in 5 seconds is fantastic. But the spin can use adaptors so that the pram can hold a range of car seats. Go to a mothercare shop and have a look. We would frequently add the car seat onto the base and push him around, we and he love it...
Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...
