    Morning all !

Better night here, he went from 7:45 ish, waking up at 1:00 for a cuddle, and then waking at 7am :) If we could drop the midnight cuddles we would be set!!

Hope everyone has a nice day. Think we are off to MILS. Really don't want to go, might even see if OH wants to take Aiden on his own and I can catch up on some ironing.

Morning all, a lot to catch upon from yesterday!

The cruise looks lovely, awful that they don't have changing facilities though!

We were at a party last night, George's first night out lol. He was very good, got a bit upset once or twice but just because he was tired and there was so much going on I think.

Today we're going to a christnening and stopping off to introduce G to his great gran (on oh's side). Do any of you ladies have relatives thatsmoke? How did you deal with it with the LO? I've asked that she not smoke for a bit before we get there and that she put a clean jumper on before holding George. Don't know if she will or not, don't want to be ott but at the same time I hate smoking with a passion and I don't want George breathing it in with his teeny lungs.

Found a lovely article about sleeping routines. I've not checked out the rest of the site, but I really enjoyed reading this. I found it really encouraging and supportive, particularly around nursing/rocking/cuddling your baby to sleep when he or she is small.

There's such a temptation to try to get them into a routine and to try to get them to self-soothe and put themselves to sleep that we forget that small babies are simply neurologically unable to do this and it's not a problem to cuddle your babe to sleep when they're little - you won't be making a rod for your own back or anything like that.

    Check it out here.

Katiechoc - I don't think that asking her to not to smoke and change her jumper is ott at all, I can't stand Noah around smoke and I'm an ex smoker. The only people that we are around that smoke is OH's dad and stepmum. They smoke outside but if they have a cigarette whilst we are there I don't offer to let them hold Noah. Sometimes we say we are just popping in for 15 mins and they still go outside for a cigarette whilst we are there. I don't know why they don't just wait until we are gone as they know me and dp don't like them holding the baby after they have smoked. It's hard when it's not our OH's family but remember he is YOUR baby.

Your LO has similar sleep patterns to mine, he is a early riser and usualky stirs at some point during the night.

Def look into the cruise if you fancy it, my mum treated us to it and I am so glad we did it, also Aiden visited loads of diff countries at 3 mnths old!!

My OH wants to do disneyworld, I think we will maybe wait till he is older !
    Was it really expensive?

Thanks sammie, glad you don't think I'm being a bit OCD about it! Going to have to be brave and stick up for myself I think, I just know they'll say I'm being silly and that in their day everyone smoked while they were pregnant etc and it never did their babies any harm. Um, I don't really give a flying flip what you did in your day, in MY day it's not on to smoke around babies! Rant over lol, I know I'm preaching to the converted on here ;)

Oh and George loves his jumperoo! He's a bit small for it really but definitely likes it, he's worked out how to bounce himself now which got a big grin this morning.
