Evening ladies
Hope you are all well.
I've had such a lazy and boring day. Although I did sort through all of Aarons 6-9 clothes and figured we now have enough, so that's a relief. Think it will be a few weeks until we need to use them, but at least I'm prepared.
Watched X Factor there, and now I'm going to tidy around as we have friends coming to visit tomorrow. Then I will go to bed to watch some episodes of Castle and paint my nailsThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thank you! Both kicking off for ages. I've been reading this baby week-by-week book and apparently this is common?! It's the 2nd night on the trot and driving me crazy. And I believe smiling is common in week 6 but dont see that soon with my grumpy pair.
Twins are hard work. People feel like they can stare at us when we're out, I can't get my jumbo buggy round most shops (next and monsoon have received emails of complaint!) and when 2 women commented about 5 mins after the other about how 'it must be nice to have one of each', I lost my cool and asked the latter which one looked like a boy, my baby with the pink dress or my other baby with the pink dress. Stupid moo said Georgie had a boys face and said she'd hoped she hadn't offended me...
Saying that - having twins is brilliant. I look in awe at them wondering how me & OH made these wonderful ladies
About routine, I'd go with baby in those early weeks. Take what you want from the books and ditch the rest. My sister followed the EASY in baby whisperer and I know it was pretty good for her. I had to get into a routine early on with twins - we AIM for 3 hourly feeds during the day, dropping to 4 hourly at night (or seeing how long we can push it now til a hungry baby wakes us)
Congrats on your little one
Xxx
I bet they are hard work, but very worth it as you say
Grr at those ladies!! Sometimes I think old people can be so rude. We were at the doctors once and some old lady was there with her friend (weird!!) they started asking me if 'it was a boy or girl' I said a boy and told him what his name was. They then began to talk about his name, loud as anything saying 'Aiden? But I thought it was a boy?!' I think Aiden is a male name!!
I bet you will get double amounts of smiles very soon!!! xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Ahhh, I love an early night and painting my nails....haven't done it for ages though as my boy seems to hate being put down unless he is completely gone at the moment

He was in his bed at 7! I had a long time of him co-sleeping, I had to go to bed at 8 o clock every night to get him to sleep etc. Was a tough road to get him out of it, but we got there. He'l only sleep on his own now, and when he goes to bed he just zonks. I need my time at night! xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Aiden is a male name! Some people honestly!:mad::mad: I have had people correcting me on Eva's name (we pronounce it Ava). Enough to drive me insane!"I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and... I believe in miracles."

Aiden used to be really good but lately he has to be cuddled and be completely asleep before we attempt the transfer! I really need to get him out of it but am not sure how. Think I need a good few days at home doing nothing and lots of patience. I would love him to just drop off by himself - the only time he does is in the pram really.Little Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

Re. rude people - I was in the park with my LO last week, and was changing her nappy on the grass (on a changing mat). A lady rushed over and shouted to what I presume were her two grandchildren: 'Come here! We're going to look at the baby!'. I shouted back: 'I'm changing her nappy at the moment I'm afraid'. Lady's response: 'Oh don't worry - been there, done that'.
Argh, no - that wasn't my point. My point was that although she might be little, I have a lot of respect for her and I don't want strangers staring at her when she's half naked. I ended up covering her with a muslin and attempting to be friendly until the lady finally disappeared. Thankfully her grandchildren were far more interested in the ducks, so she had to run off after them.0
