Mimi, Mr Knight, Mirror, nice to see you both!
Gosh. All this talk of feeling broody again... Eek! I cant wait to get bean out, it has NOT been a nice experience being pregnant for me- 22 weeks of constant throwing up and nausea, 3 weeks of feeling ok, before indigestion and reflux kicked in, and then 2 months of Pelvic girdle pain. The very idea of having another at this moment, is abhorent!
I guess it is that is the universe's way of evening up the fact that i fell PG first month of trying- my 2 BFF's both struggled conceiving but have sailed through their pregnancies without a single puke...

no worries doglover thats what the thread is for to support everyone no matter what it is, sorry have no insight though for you havent been through it myself. hope it gets better soon.x

kira lol my pregnancy was horrible too with samuel and i fell first month of trying too, i had 5 months of throwing up had to go into hospital and was given tablets to help but just knocked me out instead, on the plus side whilst i slept i didnt throw up lol.
then i had a month of sciatica whilst the hubby was in france for a month working.
and the rst of it i was just so huge and extremely tired whic i think was down to my thyroid problem, i just couldnt do anything.

then to top it off iwas 2 weeks overdue had to be induced, samuels heart stopped so had emergency c section, my body went into shock and i hemoreaged. mmmmm think i just talked myself out of being broody lol

doglover samuels on about 6x5oz bottles, he is 14 weeks sometimes leaves an ounce though

Doglover when my brother was born in 1974, the advice was to wean at 6 weeks! when I arrived a few years later the advice had changed to 4 months. My mum always tells me how sick my brother was and just to go with my own instincts for weaning. And 6 x 5 oz bottles sounds normal, btw.

Mirror you are a crazy woman even to think about pregnancy again!!!!!

Hahah, when i told people I was having number 4, they all said i was brave, I personally think i`m mad!!!!
    DD1 is 9, DD2 is 6,(7 in a few weeks) and DD3 is 3.
DD1 the reflux stopped when she finally went onto Soya formula at 5 and a half months. DD2 It stopped again aorund 5 months. And DD3 stopped around 4 months. Altho, I was very very naughty with DD3, and started weaning her at 12 weeks with non milk, wheat and egg based foods. DD2 is intolerant to them all. So basically, i`d puree apples and pears, and veg. I can tell u now, it will def improve when they start spending more time sat upright. And also as they eat more food/drink less milk. What foods did u try weaning ur baby on?
Tbh, i`m kinda lucky in 1 way, as DH is at home on long term sick (had a kidney op 7 yrs ago and now has severe nerve damage and in constant pain, on morphine and lots of other meds, has to go to hosp for spinal nerve blockers and steroids into his spine, non of which work!) So it is handy having him around, but, its also really hard work if he has hosp apps, and if he is really in alot of pain he can be snappy etc. He also doesnt leave the house much, literally 6-8 weeks at a time, so i have to do EVERYTHING!!! I dunno if i`d find it easier or harder with him at work tbh!
Someone said their baby is worse if they r teething?? Have u tried Ashton and Parsons powders? They worked wonders with DD3, she had her 1st tooth at 8 weeks! Then it was a tooth a week for ages, all teeth thru including back teeth by 10 months!
Sorry for the ramble haha! xx

Also, DD3 was the "try for a boy" and obviously wasnt lol. We decided to stop there. Then I got broody, and just wanted another baby, i wanted an even number as so fed up with DD2 being left out! I was quite looking forward to having another girl, knew it would be so much easier. So when the sexing scan said boy, DH was over the moon, and I was (and still am!) in shock, what on earth do i do with a boy and all its bits??? lol. DH was just shocked that with all his meds he could even reproduce still! And having only "dtd" once, he still made a boy hahaha!!! xx

    Hello everyone,

My Lo is now 8 months old (where does the time go?) so will be around for a bit. Happy to help give advise although I have learnt that all babies are different and still have a few problems myself with a baby that still wakes often. It does get easier though! Although saying that LO so far this morning has been pulling dvds off the shelf, trying to type on my laptop and pulling the phone off the table so some things get more tricky haha.

Anyway hope you will have me for a while.

lol wendz i remember those days, acouple that spring to mind with my eldest,

in the living room once he pulled the bottom drawer of the changing unit out so he could reach a pack of after 8 mints and then sat in the bottom drawer and proceeded to eat them and smear himself with chocolate. looked so cute too.

another time i had changed his little brothers nappy but left the sudocream in the living and he took the lid off and smeared himself all over and my nice blue carpet. i did laugh but seriously didnt know where to start cleaning first, the carpet so it didnt stain or him so he didnt get it any where else or pick his brother up that was whinging, in the end i phoned my nan who lives round the corner to come help lol

  • Lirin - another one here who hugely recommends nipple shields, took the pain away totally. i personally didn't find lansinoh helped much, in the end i used jelonet dressings, which are minor burns dressings, but that's only if you have cracks though.

i'm another one who's really broody already, only problem is i just don't feel like dtd at all, that and i don't have time! husband feels rather unloved and keeps pestering. but how am i supposed to feel like it, when i hardly feel attractive at all, my eyebrows need plucking, my hair never gets done, my tummy wobbles and sometimes i'm not able to get dressed until after lunch!

Hey all, my darling daughter Ellie is 8 days old today she is lush we all love her to bits. Everything is going really well.

right that's it i am going to buy some nipple shields. I am finding breastfeeding a little painful. not unbearable but not nice!!

Nice to see so many familiar names!!

i am getting good at typing one handed already!!!!

i am a bit disappointed with the midwife. as this is my second child (9 year age gap) they just seem to have left me :(

i was in hospital for day 1 and 2 they saw us on day 3 and day 5 today is day 8 and they were coming but phoned and cancelled now coming on day 10:eek:

Ellie was 10lb when born and this seems to have made her a very content baby. she just needs feeding every 4 hours and she is happy. had some trapped wind last night which was a nightmare!

She is so lush and is making me very broody! i want another one already!! :rotfl:

lol samuel was 9lb 12oz and needed feeding every 2 hrs, thats why in the end although he was feeding well it was still every 2 hrs so have put him onto bottle and is going nearly every 4 hrs now, had loads of trapped wind when i was breastfeeding was using infacol, hasnt had hardly any wind since the bottle though, strange
