    Hello all :)

More dummy success! he put himself to sleep with it this morning, and his comforter held firmly in his hand (so cute!) and then almost put himself back to sleep with it but the flipping recycling lorry turned up making a racket. Still, a whole 40 minutes nap and then 10 minutes sleepy sucking left me enough time to make a load of thai curry paste and get washed up = happy mummy

Fluff - George wont take it unless he's already sleepy, pulls a face and fires it across the room too, its surprising how much force he can get behind it!

Hope everyone has nice days, we're going for dinner with a new mum friend then trying a new baby group with her and her LO

Is that the lady you met from netmums? Have fun at baby group!!
    Xx

    Hi ladies

Joseph's first night in the cot last night - too long for the moses basket now! He slept very well in it after a while getting him settled - 8.30pm til 2am, woke for a feed and went back to sleep until 6.45am. He looks so tiny in it though :o

We're trying to establish a routine (that suits us) at the moment and it seems to be going ok. He used to have last feed at 11pm/12am but I'm hoping to establish a proper bedtime and so I'm happy to get to up in night for as long as it takes to get there (if we get there!!) Its all trial and error isn't it? I wish that I hadn't bothered to read so many 'expert books' in pregnancy...I'm slowly learning to go by what I think, not what a book says...its all such a steep learning curve though!

Have a good day all :)

Thats a fab first night :)

I know what you mean re books. We kind of let him set his own routine and went with that. I think every bubba is so different that what works for one doesnt necessarily work for the other. x

You can do baby led weaning whenever baby can sit up and is able to pick up the food and put to mouth so id imagine finger food is the same.

Im not sure he still doesnt get 3 a day every day. I started with breakfast, then gave either lunch or dinner. Maybe around 6 months for 3 meals x

Ive tried finger food, just carrott and a bit of brocolli - not impressed lol. Just looks at it like its rubbish and throws it! He will eat half strawberries out of my hand though, I think they are nice and cold on his gums. :)

    Oh bless him!!

I haven't tried Noah on anything like that yet but I'm sure he would love to gum a strawberry to death!!

The boiler man has been and gone so I can pop to the green grocers and get some more fruit and veg to blend and freeze for Noah as we are running low.

Katie, you have a 3-month old baby and you MAKE Thai curry paste?!... You're supermum :) (I was thinking this a few days ago too when you mentioned peeling spuds, but the curry paste confirms my suspicion! ;)).

    Thanks Gilly.
Noah was 5 months yesterday so may leave it a couple of weeks and then start breakfast.

I tried teaching Noah to "ta ta" yesterday and he was copying me by opening and closing his hand!! So sweet!

Excatly right sunshine! Most books said babies should smile by 6 weeks - when J didn't I was so worried, it was really stressing me out. He cracked a couple of little ones by 8 weeks and in the past few days has had some very big beautiful ones :D Feel silly for getting so caught up on specific dates now!

I bet your sister was really pleased and proud bless him.
There was a little boy at baby group yesterday who was born on the 9th march so only a couple of weeks older then Noah who was sitting up on his own, picking up toys etc!! Noah does none of that still and he looked tiny compared to the other baby. I thought the baby was about 8 months when I first saw him!

  • Yeah she was :) they think he may be autistic so its been a bit of a difficult time and it was lovely to hear his voice.

Aiden cant sit up either, if he is on his tummy he will grab toys but doesnt really pick anything up. x
