Flipping food dustbin I have! She's on full 9oz bottles and started bugging for more - now transitioning her to hungry baby milk to try to keep her going another month and a bit!
Since she's forever grabbing at things and "helping" I put the handles from the sippy cups onto her bottle this morning so she could help me feed herself... bottle was empty, she cried for more and proceeded to poke herself in the eye with the teat!
Feel better knowing her Xmas presents are sorted - while we've still got this tax rebate money I'm going to go out at the weekend and get the next stage up carseat and high chair before we just fritter it away on junk - then store them up and it'll only be clothes, nappies and stuff we need for the next year or so! Figure it's easier to get this stuff now while we've got the cash and then just put it aside until we need to use it (not that I'm going to be a drip and stick her forward facing and blether on about how advanced she is - just shove the box somewhere I'll trip over it for another 5 months).
She's currently on her playmat beside me - still desperately trying to figure out how to roll over - she can't do either front-back or back-front yet (but she hates being on her front so it's just short spells of time that way around anyway).. think she just likes the lying around kicking her legs thing quite a bit though.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hello all
More dummy success! he put himself to sleep with it this morning, and his comforter held firmly in his hand (so cute!) and then almost put himself back to sleep with it but the flipping recycling lorry turned up making a racket. Still, a whole 40 minutes nap and then 10 minutes sleepy sucking left me enough time to make a load of thai curry paste and get washed up = happy mummy
Fluff - George wont take it unless he's already sleepy, pulls a face and fires it across the room too, its surprising how much force he can get behind it!
Hope everyone has nice days, we're going for dinner with a new mum friend then trying a new baby group with her and her LONewborn thread member

Yeah - at the moment we're stuck in limbo with a really hungry girlie that's probably a bit too young to start weaning - it's annoying! She's definitely got daddy's appetite... I can see her ending up like him - when his mum was ill and told them to fend for themselves one day as kids, his sister went off and got a bowl of cereal as expected - hubby... went off and made steak and chips!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Will Noah eat any finger food? X
When can we start on finger food?
I'm considering giving Noah finger food for lunch, when he is old enough, so he can feed himself and continue to give purees for dinner.
Gilly - how old was A when you started him on 3 meals a day?

Hi ladies
Joseph's first night in the cot last night - too long for the moses basket now! He slept very well in it after a while getting him settled - 8.30pm til 2am, woke for a feed and went back to sleep until 6.45am. He looks so tiny in it though
We're trying to establish a routine (that suits us) at the moment and it seems to be going ok. He used to have last feed at 11pm/12am but I'm hoping to establish a proper bedtime and so I'm happy to get to up in night for as long as it takes to get there (if we get there!!) Its all trial and error isn't it? I wish that I hadn't bothered to read so many 'expert books' in pregnancy...I'm slowly learning to go by what I think, not what a book says...its all such a steep learning curve though!
