Does anyone have a snoozeshade or shade a babe for their pram? I want to get one for when LO starts facing forwards (for naps + shade - at the moment I'm using a muslin and pegs) and can't decide which one to buy. The snoozeshade seems better for complete darkness (LO is of the curious kind and tends not to sleep if there's stuff to look at), but at the same time I'm not sure about completely shutting her off from the world!... Am leaning towards shade a babe at the moment - if anyone has one I'd love to know how nap-friendly it is!?...

I have a snoozeshade deluxe (the one with a zip up panel in the front). My LO is TERRIBLE at napping out and about as she is too nosy by half, the only successful naps out that weve had, have been with the Snoozeshade on, if that tells you anything!

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, I will have a look on netmums and see if there's something more suitable. I struggle at home with BFing and knowing if it's the right choice etc etc etc as nobody around me is keen on me doing it. OH's family...against it (MIL thinks I should be weaning...what at 9 weeks?! !!!!!!?!). OH is, I suppose, indifferent - if I try to talk to him about a hard day doing it, his answer is "if there is a problem, then fix it = give formula"...rather than actually I need some reassurance that I'm doing the right thing not just encouragement to give up at the slightest hiccup :( I think he just doesn't 'get' it. I'd also like to talk to other mums about BFing poos (baby's not mine!), frequency, duration, vomiting...that sort of thing - just so I can know if I'm doing it right or not!

I'm still exclusively BF at nearly 7 months.. if you want to chat/ask/moan, then feel free to PM me, or post on here. If i'm not about, i'm sure one of my little birds will give me a poke to come on and answer! I am an expert on BF baby poo... hahahah

I was looking for a shade for the pushchair when we went to Spain but could only find umbrella types, I did see one lady who had a shade pulled all the way over her buggy conpletly protecting baby from the sun. Is that what a Snoozeshade is? Where do I get one? Xx

Mothercare sells the snoozeshade for £19.99. There's also shade a babe - I'm still trying to decide between the two: http://www.mothercare.com/Shade-A-Babe/802797,default,pd.html Thanks Kira for the snoozeshade feedback - your LO sounds very similar to mine when it comes to pram napping!

ETA: Just realised there are different types - the one that's £19.99 in Mothercare is £17.99 on Amazon...

Thanks kira I think that is what I saw and it looked ideal. I have a mamas and papas pramette so as it says universal it should fit it. May have to get dp to order one. :D

Yep, the one i posted is the deluxe which has the extra layer and zip section for when you want shade but them to see out, and it can be closed for extra dark. The standard one just doesnt have the zip bit.

Well, when we start the next version, maybe Newborn and babies... as they will always be our babies to us...
