Aimless sounds like we are testing the same stuff, as I am yet to receive one last one. In that case, did you also get a massive package from the company who sent out dodgy samples?? I was quite chuffed with that! And it was great as it really was my birthday when I was receiving all the BFing stuff so it was like bonus presents :j

Sammie it's because instead of saying " I am, he is, we are, you are" they just use "am" for them all...so "you am" gets shortened to yam....but I don't talk like that, honest! Lol :rotfl:

Sunshine oh not far then :)

Oh and sammie again, she's a spiteful selfish old hag, who goes through the motions of doing nice things so that you can't call her on the nasty stuff...like buying you things, but then saying something spiteful :(

Lol, yes I got the massive package, it was rather funny, especially as it replaced quite a small one. :D

I can't remember for sure, but think that may be the website I joined? It is M&B's site, anyway. :)

This testing thing sounds good, that must have been about the only thing I didn't sign up for when pgnant!

Hope everyone is fast asleep, we're up for his first feed so not bad going so far. Be nice if he'd sleep past 6am though!

Will catch up properly tomorrow, think little mans ready for bed again.

    Hi All

I never get much of a chance to get on here now- I do always try to read back though! It's been a bit busy....

Rose seems to want to skip the crawling thing- she's usually up on her feet clinging onto the sofa and either grinning or crying at us. Little minx startled me yestarday- left her on the lounge floor while I went into the kitchen to make her a bottle. Turned around and she was sitting behind me on the floor grinning up at me¬!
Last night she started waving at everyone in Asda....

Hi ladies, just thought I would pop in and say hello :)

Joseph is 8 weeks today - time seems to be flying so fast! Still only had a couple of fleeting smiles and no cheesy grins yet but he seems happy and contented.

Have a question about his bedtime routine if anyone could help that would be great. He has a bath about 7pm every night and then a feed. He sometimes then has a small top up and then some wakey time but settles to sleep about 9pm downstairs with us in his carry cot pram or moses basket if we have brought that down. We take him upstairs at 11pm and give him final bottle and for the last week he has then slept through until between 5am and 7am. My question is - do you think that I should now be taking him upstairs to sleep at 9pm rather than keeping him downstairs? We have a baby mointor and live in a small house anyway, but I'm sure I read in one of those baby books babies should be in same room (upstairs or downstairs) for first 12 weeks? I think I might be getting too caught up on what the books say though - as someone very rightly pointed out regarding advice, he is my baby so I should follow my own instincts but would be great to hear what others do :)

    Many congratulations Dizzi! xx

I'd take him up Triangle :) getting into a proper routine is what made A sleep longer I found. Plus I think the younger he gets used to it the easier it'l be :) I'm lucky we live in an apartment so it's been easy to put him through to bed, but as long as you have the monitor and check on him periodically I'd say it's fine :)

Oooh Dizzi, you have got me thinking about age gaps between children now! I would love to have two close together like you are. I have disucssed with DH trying again when Joseph is 9 months old; me and my sister were 18 months apart, as were DH and his sister. What (if at all) is everyone else thinking regarding having more babies?! :)

Triangle, we kept LO downstairs in her basket in the evenings like you're doing until she was about 4 weeks - since then her bedtime routine has been bath, milk, bed upstairs. We use a monitor and check on her every now and then - and it's actually quite nice to have some time to ourselves and watch TV and have a chat without having to worry about waking up a baby sleeping in the same room. Her last feed of the evening is now at around 8pm-ish, and she has that in a dimly lit bedroom immediately after her bath - means she's very calm and understands that we're approaching sleep time, and she usually settles very quickly. Now if only we could sort out the daytime naps... :o
