Rebekah the early days are so so tough but I promise it does get better. Only 2 weeks ago I felt like I was at breaking point. I'm now starting to feel better, some days are better than others though :o oh and don't forget these lot mostly have slightly older babies, I know I joined this thread feeling quite daunted until I realised the ages of them all :)
How old is your little one now? Yea I was wondering how they could cook with a baby lol

Gilly sounds like a good plan! I suppose at the moment it's hard for me to imagine Reuben with toys yet! We have a book with black and white patterns in that we look at together, and a beanie zebra that he likes to knock down if you prop it next to him.....he's not really interested in much else! Oh he does love to look at the living room curtain (I think because it's black and white).

I don't know what a jumperoo is but as I've seen a few of you rave about them on here, I think I'll investigate :)

Rebekah Reuben is 8 weeks old (9 on Monday), but we spent the first 2 weeks in hospital, so when he was 6wks old I only really felt like 4weeks as that's how long we had been home. We didn't start breastfeeding til the last day of hospital (he was too ill so I expressed and cup fed) so we've been BFing nearly 7 weeks now and it has definitely got better, a lot better. Hang in there, you are doing a fantastic job!! We are feeding right now and Reuben is holding my top with his hand, it's very cute, and it has been 3.5hrs since his previous feed....I never thought I'd live to see such a big gap, but it does happen! I nearly gave up during his growth spurt, as that's pretty intense, but I'm glad I saw it through and I do actually enjoy BFing some of the time now :)

I've had success with the hand on face technique to get him off to sleep too, although I'm trying to put him down when he's not completely asleep now so he gets a bit used to settling himself.

He's dribbling buckets at the moment, think I'm going t have to get a couple of those bandana style bib things for him, his vest is soaked. He's just started making little noises like he's trying to blow raspberries too :p

Rebekah don't even think about trying to cook yet! My littlie is almost 13 weeks and whether or not I have tea on when oh gets home is entirely dependant on if he'll sit in his bou cy chair by the kitchen door while I do it, and even then its only ever something quick and easy or reheated from the freezer.

Jumperoo is fab, Aaron has been in his since about 14 weeks, but I don't think he really got into it until around 18/19 weeks. You can pick them up pre-loved there are always loads of them selling. They sell on really well too. They are a life safer :D

She woke when I put her down - was dying for a pee - so had wide awake time watching me and looking out window - so I put away some laundry and cut my nails. Shed a few tears over how gorgeous she is. :-)

Gilly looking at the reviews on amazon it looks like a must buy! Will start keeping an eye out for a second hand one, thanks for the tip.

Rebekah Hooray for managing a toilet break :j and yes, aren't they marvellous! Sometimes i look at Reuben and think I might burst because he's so fantastic....and I made him!! I feel a huge sense of pride as I see him getting little chubby thighs and seeing him grow ...although at only just 2 months old we are about to move up to 3-6months clothes as everything is too short already  think he's going to be a tall lad!! Mind you I'm 5ft 10 and his dad is 6ft 3 so it's to be expected really :)

My bubs is tall, but teeny, his 3-6 month stuff is all too short but fits everywhere else. We're still in 3-6 though, I'd say we'l maybe be into 6-9 by the time he's about 7-7 1/2 months.

Gilly mines just the same, body wise the 0-3 stuff is quite baggy, so I've got some vest extenders so they will last us a while yet, and I cut the feet off his sleep suits to make them last longer, footless they now come to just beneath his knee! but still room to grow in the body, I foresee problems getting clothes in the future if he carries on at this ratio :)
  • My LO is mainly in 3-6 but fits a lot of 6-9 month clothes without them looking too baggy - He's broad and Solid but not particularly tall so I roll up his trouser legs! He weighed in at 19lb 3oz at 22 weeks exactly yesterday. I ahve just had to learn to try the clothes on him before putting them in a drawer as relying on the age range just means we can sometimes miss them fitting altogether.
