I will read back in a bit, in case you all think I'm rude!

Thanks for the worry Turtle, it's been a hectic few days, and couldn't use laptop for a bit as I spilt Vermonater ice-cream in it....

Rose has learnt to crawl, has cut her first tooth, and can pull herself up into standing! All in just over a week. She was weighed by the health visitor too- 21lb 6oz on Wednesday.

We've been at softplay a lot- it totaly exhausts her and means the tooth tantrums are very minimal.

I had my consultant review to look at the fresh stitches. He was a bit rough I thought, but it went okay... He says finally, I'm fine.... The bit I had thought was exposed muscle is a bit of scar tissue which will settle and become less sensitive in time.
He told me he'd received the complaint letter I had put in, and he wanted to see how he could help. The main basis for my complaint was that I had never been told I had an episiotomy, and should have been made aware- longer healing time etc. I was shown a drawing the lady who stitched me had done- he said she gave up trying to describe how it looked, and drew it instead. He said it was extremely bad 3rd degree tearing- last I was told I was border 3rd, so he thinks it was worse. I tore upwards in a mangled W shape- best way I can put it. The episiotomy cut up and down, and slightly to one side, so I had an L shaped cut over a Wshaped tear (IYKWIM).
He said I should have been offered counselling at the stitches review if it was bothering me- he still hadn't understood. Until I saw him 6 months after the birth, I hadn't been told I was cut, and it had never been checked.
For that, he apologised on behalf of the hospital and said I should have been informed, and they should have been checked. That's all I wanted, really! To know, and to let them know it was shoddy practice, really.
I'm glad it is sorted, talked to him about the feeling I have of falling out, and the bruised feeling I have a lot- the wound might heal in 6-8 weeks he said, but the muscle, nerves etc will still cause a twinges and pain for months, especially as I'd only begun to heal properly when I had to get cut open again.

Aw that's a long day Mozzy, hope you get home safely.

Well I've just had to borrow a pair of OH's pyjamas as George decided to hose me down as I changed him. And then he started crying! Honestly, if anyone should have been crying I'm pretty sure it was the one covered in baby wee!

Clothes- Rose is 7 months, and is wearing a lot of 12-18 stuff. With jackets, it is handier getting her little fingers through, but there seems to be little difference in 12-18 and 9-12 in actual material, so we skipped a step- more wear from anything that's a little big, I guess.

I think it's because from 12 months, they usually start toddling everywhere so they grow up the way but slim down with legs/tummy etc :)

Just got back from Spain this afternoon so thought I should catch up on here!! Haven't had a chance to read back yet but hope everyone is well.

Noah was an angel on the plane!! He did do a poop there and back but he was as good as gold for the whole 2 hours.
I'm peeling already so don't think I will stay brown for long!! Noah absolutely loved the swimming pool!!

Thanks for posting those codes for Toys R Us earlier Nutella - just ordered the wall stickers for our nursery as for some reason, although I've filled out the parenting club details twice now, I've still not received my gold cards and don't seem to be getting the emails, so it was great to get the heads up. :)
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.
