I particularly like the idea that you sleep with a hankie or similar then OH wraps it around the bottle - that way it smells of you.

Also, warming the teat, I've not read that one before but seems obvious when you think about it!

Thanks turtlemoose that's really helpful! He refused a bottle of purely expressed from oh this morning, although he wasn't keen on the real thing either so trying to not get too hung up on that for now. Will try those tips though. Thanks again :)

It's quiet on here today! Hope that means everyone's off having a lovely time :). We're staying in, every time we go to go out it starts tipping down so we've scratched that idea. Just bathed the monkey, second time in the big bath and it went pretty well, definitely need some toys for him to focus on next time I'm at tesco. Hopefully the bath will have worn him out so he'll go down for his next nap without a fight.

Afternoon all, hope everyone's well and enjoying their Saturdays :) It is indeed quiet on here today.

Went to Boots today, they have offers on all nappies and baby cotton wool in case anyone needs any - both are buy one get one half price. Got some Huggies little swimmers so we're all set for the pool next month, and their remaining supply of cotton wool pads :)

Turtle, how are you getting on with the testing for the M&B awards? We're testing 'newborn sleep aids 0-3 months', OH and I love a couple of the things we're testing but LO doesn't seem too fussed - I think she's far too attached to Ewan to be interested in anything else!

Katie, if you find any good bandana style bibs, please let me know - I think we need to get some too as LO's dribbling loads at the moment.

Glad the bath time went well Katie. It is quiet here today!! I've not been doing anything fun, been doing housework and had a chest freezer delivered :j it's second hand and cosmetically has seen better days, but it freezes stuff so that's the main thing!

Trip to aldi and lidl tomorrow or Monday I think, to start my stockpiling....finally I can buy a bag of onions or peppers and I can chop and freeze the remaining in me-size portions rather than have to throw them away, which is what normally happens...meaning I don't buy them full stop as I hate waste. Meals with veg in here I come! How sad that I find that exciting lol.

Also room to freeze some BM....if only I could find the time to express! What have you all used for freezing BM? Does it have to be a special temperature?

Reuben is 2 months today ....where has the time gone?? We get lovely smiles on a regular basis now, gosh it makes me go weak at the knees! :j

Nutella ooh I forgot you were a tester too :) the BFing stuff is mostly really good - only 2 things that I didn't like out of the batch so not bad! And one of the cushions is the most amazing thing ever! Am I the only person who doesn't have a Ewan????

I also got picked for skin care products, which now means that I have enough baby toiletries to last me around 5 years...seriously!! I've got 5 different brands and they all sent me at least 3 products - usually shampoo, nappy cream and body wash. I can't believe the price of some, especially the organic/posh ones...silly prices like £8 for 100ml of shampoo

Was quite good as one brand (don't want to say which in case I get in trouble!) sent 4 x 50ml samples - a "travel pack" - and then recalled them as they were out of date. I hadnt even noticed! They sent a really grovelling email, and next day arrived 8 (yes 8!) of their FULL SIZE products (eg 300ml shampoo, bubble bath etc) and a box of 9 packs of wipes...jackpot!! And I'll use the out of date stuff on me so it won't go to waste ;)

For bandana style bibs, I have a friend who has a business selling baby stuff including those, she personalises them etc if anyone is interested - don't want to tout for her business too blatantly, so if you're interested, pm me and I'll send you the link.

Turtle, yay for freezer! :j That was quick - wasn't it only a few days ago that you were thinking of getting one? Happy veg shopping! Oh, and being a skin care tester sounds fab - I'm very jealous now! :o I love freebies. My LO now has more cuddly and soft lullaby-playing, battery-operated bedtime companions than one could ever want or need, but they're all very cute - and free :T Once she gets a bit older I guess she'll enjoy playing with them and might even pick a new favourite. And we have a really cute free mobile - we only moved her into a cot bed a week ago, so I hadn't got round to buying one yet! :money: It doesn't help her sleep, in fact it's counter-productive as she gets very excited about the moving animals, but it keeps her occupied in the mornings (I've had a morning shower two days in a row!!). So we use it as a daytime cue - blinds open, music on, animals circling over her head = it's time to be awake. She loves it.

Happy 2-month birthday to Reuben :) My LO was 12 weeks yesterday - time really does fly. Second set of jabs on Tuesday... :(

Just ordered some bandana style bibs from here: www.babykind.co.uk/bibs.htm, plus a plain red one from Amazon. We have one that my cousin gave me, and it's fab - LO has been wearing it today and has dry clothes for the first time in weeks!

I have no Ewan! I do however have a 500ml coke bottle with pasta inside- she loves it! All the expensive toys we've been given, and nope- it's the coke bottle, mummy. (Disclaimer- I'm not a bad mum, the lid was glued on, and she will not be getting any of the Coke).
Also on today's toy list- the hoover, the cat, sky remote (Ta, MIL!), DH's toe, but the most famous of all- the toy above all else- Sophie The Giraffe. You do not mess with Sophie.....
