Tantrums here! Getting sick of moving, so she sits and throws little tantrums when she has had enough. Letting the dogs or cat in for a couple of mins usually clears that- she's nuts about the big daft lumps.....
DSD was 12 yestarday. Her mum bought her her first pair of high heels (stupidly high 4 1/2 lurid purple velour heels), and she has her ears pierced. The earrings are okay- she's been asking since she was 7- far too young IMO- but 12 is ok, she can care for them herself. The heels are different- I had to teach her to walk in them today without resembling Quasimodo!
I took her down to Claire's Accessories and bought her earrings- she was insistent on wearing the purple heels. We made it ten feet from the car. I had her flats packed anyway!
The theme for every 12 year old, apparantly, is purple. Jacket, earrings, shoes.....
I'm in work, with a party plate from last night that DH made for me....0 -
I'm bloomin' starving. In-laws called around at 5 o clock  and have only just left, baby has been fed, had his bedtime bottle and I'm sitting here ready to gnaw my own fist off! First weigh in tomorrow so I can't even have anything naughty. Also trust me to start a diet the week I have my period, probably mean I won't lose as muchThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Aw all this talk of toys is getting me excited, looking forward to playing more, at the moment his favourite thing to do is stare at the living room curtains (they are black with white flowers). He really loves them, he will happily wave his arms at them, and talk to them....strange child
Gilly, don't worry, if you haven't lost anything you can blame being on, and if you have lost something then you've done well to lose it this week...win win
I'm not loving the new freezer...while cleaning the inside yesterday the lid shut and hit me on the head and cheekbone... Luckily it didn't mark my face but I do have a lump on my head, what an idiot!!
On the plus side, aldi have got blueberries on their super 6 thing so they are only 69p for 150g so Ive started the freezer stash already. Also got strawberries reduced to £1.04 a punnet yum yum my favourite and :money: too.
Reuben has only slept for a total of 7 hrs since midnight onwards, so I am hoping he has a sleepy night later tonight!!
What's everyone up to this evening? I'm preparing some stuff for my employment tribunal - scary stuff and wish I was doing it after more sleep but oh well!0 -
Evening ladies, hope everyone's had a good day?
We've been to fil's for Sunday dinner which was nice, George had a dribbly sleep on my chest - try to not let him do that too much at home so having no cot for nap time when we're out is the perfect excuse for cuddles!
Tomorrow I'm meeting a few other local mums who've all got in touch on netmums, bit nervous but hopefully will make a few friends out of it.
How come you've got a tribunal turtlemoose? Sounds scary, hope you get the stuff done that you need. And Reuben sleeps better tonight!
Lol at the heels Lirin! I can't wear heels full stop, I'm 6ft so don't need to but would be nice to be able to without wobbling around like a drunk!
Hope you've found something yummy for tea gilly, I've had two bourbons as I'm so stuffed from Sunday dinner. Must try harder with the healthy eating tomorrow! Wish we had an Aldi near us, fancy blueberries now...Newborn thread member

chicken and spuds, nothing interesting. I'm using the myfitnesspal app and I have been under my calorie allowance every day. I have stood on the scales cheekily, and I look to have lost 3lbs, which is decent but I'm still a bit disappointed with that for the first week, thought I would have lost more, but yesterday I felt so awful I barely ate which didn't help obviously, you need to eat to lose.
Will see what the scales say tomorrow. I ideally would like to lose a stone by my birthday, 3rd week in September xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

Katie the tribunal is for sexual discrimination and breach of contract. Theres a whole list of things in it, but the things that tipped me over the edge and I finally put the claim in after 3 yrs of crap, were that I got excluded from a company wide (2000 ppl nationally) pay rise...I asked why...they couldn't/wouldnt give me a reason. And the other thing was they are refusing to pay me around 3k of contractual maternity pay...their reason? They don't have to....erm it's in my contract so yes you do!!!0

Turtle, I can empathise with the tribunal- I had a lot of problems with my work around the maternity. i think most arose simply because they didn't know what they were doing!
katie- One of the things I'd have loved is to be 6ft. I'm 5ft 8in, so can fake that with heels- I need something to balance out a J cup chest and size 9 feet!
I got inspired and wore my heels to work. Used to love them, stopped around April last year as I was getting sore. I feel young and sexy again! Ebay is so getting raided tonight. My excuse- a slightly deliberate one- is I ruined my cheap Next boots by tram, ping around the other day felling trees with Dad.:rotfl:0 -
Evening everyone
Katiechoc - hope you have fun meeting up with some other mums tomorrow.

My LO loves ceilings (particularly if they have beams), fire extinguishers, one particular plant (not just any plant!) and yellow muslins0
