Thankfully he went to bed at his usual time, but he was still laying in his cot playing 90 minutes later  not a peep out of him though so I just leave him to it :)

I have some snacks in Nutella, I chopped up some melon for AJ today so I will have that with my breakfast tomorrow x

Glad its not just me! My friends perfume is lovely, i just don't want my baby smelling of it! Know what you mean about smoke, i was behind 3 girls in town yesterday who were smoking and had poppy in a sling and i had to stop off in a shop to get away from them, it was a massive worry when she was on 24 hour oxygen!

My friend asked me when i was getting poppy's ears pierced, i said when she was about 16 years old! Really don't like earrings in little babies!x

:eek:ears pierced!! Oooh no, I am with you on that one too.

Glad he has gone down for you now Gilly

In the spirit of healthy eating and weight loss, I have got blueberries, strawberries, raspberries (nutella I'm also a berry fan!). Also have some kiwis and bananas - so plenty there for snacking and maybe some smoothies too. Got raisins and oats too, plan on making my own healthy cereal bars, I'm thinking easy to grab one quickly once they are made, can be eaten with one hand, and oats for energy on those sleepless nights/days.

My trouble is my OH eats like a spoilt 5 yr old....every meal comes out of a packet from the freezer. The only non-freezer meals i can get him to eat are curries (but cant add anything exceot chicken - no veg not even onion), enchiladas, and my own version of kfc - so none of which are healthy meals!! It's hard to cook healthy for one, especially if I'm also cooking unhealthy already. I've decided i am going to save up the next two months of child benefit and buy a chest freezer....that way I can batch cook healthy meals for me - I find its the only way I manage to eat a vegetable or two!! Or meat other than chicken! Love him really (but mealtimes are a pain!) :o

Hope everyone has a sleepy night xxx

Well we've had a rubbish night, up 3 times and we've been up since 5.40 *yawn*.

We're still trying to get G to take a bit of formula, he flat out refused it first and now we're mixing it with some expresedbreastmilk which he'll take, but nothing like as enthusiastically as he goes for the real thing. But the real problem is he won't take the bottle from OH, he just starts screaming every time. Any ideas? I thought maybe if I get him started then OH takes the bottle while I hold George and gradually pass George over as he's getting sleepy? OH is being really good about it but I'd be quite upset if it was the other round so I'd really like to sort it out.

Anyway, hope you're all still sound asleep, as soon as this baby's eyes close I'm back to bed!

I love blueberies too! We have two bushes but they haven't ripened up yet. I'm also really looking forwards to greengages, this is the first year our greengage tree has produced fruit, I hope they're tasty when they ripen properly!

To start with, Elliot was better at taking a bottle when I wasn't there.

My husband has eaten the last biscuit and not told me, I just went to get the last one to eat and it's gone. I think that might be grounds for divorce ;)

bluebell gosh poor you, that is atrocious behaviour! :rotfl

Had a bad night here too, but then he slept for 3 hrs this morning...so I did too, even though theres a mountain of washing and ironing to do, i just couldn't face it.

katie what position does your OH hold him? I've read you should sit a BF baby nearly upright when bottle feeding, because if you lay them down they expect and therefore want booby and are peed off when they don't get it! Same for smell - my boy takes a bottle much better when I'm not in the room than when I am. if I'm there he just wants me - what a compliment :) What kind of bottle teat do you have? I have got the medela calma which is supposed to mimic a breast (it doesn't drip, you have to create a vacuum to get it out) and while it takes him a few moments to get it, once he realises "oh yes this is that other thing with milk in" then he goes for it. Good luck!

Definitely grounds for divorce bluebell! Luckily for me my oh can't eat wheat so has special biscuits while I have normal ones, but that does mean I end up eating a lot of them! Well, no one likes stale digestives do they?!

I did start off leaving oh to it in the other room but he still went nuts:(. I think I'm going to try it with him on my knee and oh next to me so we can try and slide him over gradually. Or maybe go back to just a bottle of purely expressed bm with no formula as he took that ok from oh last week.

I've had an hours sleep now so feeling (almost) human

Thanks turtlemoose, posted at the same time! He tried laying him down and sitting him more upright - I hold him quite upright when I bf as it seems to reduce his wind a bit. When I gave him the bottle i held him in almost the same position as BFing and he took it ok, no tantrum at least. I'm just worried its going to stop them bonding or something, in every other way they've bonded fine but this seems to be very much a "nope, I want mummy!" kind of tantrum which I would find incredibly hard to deal with if it was reversed :(.

I've also been giving him a cuddle as oh gets the bottle ready, then taking him through for oh to feed. Maybe I should have my bedtime cuddle a bit early then let oh snuggle him while I do the bottle so he forgets about me a little?

Re teats we have the tommee tippee closer to nature ones, which he did seem to struggle with at first but we made another hole in it and he gets on with it much better. The calma looks interesting though, I guess if he has to suck in the same way it'll be one less difference for him to get stressed about.

Sorry for the epic post, kind of thinking out loud if you know what I mean :o
