How is the napping going Nutella? George is down at the moment, but it was a bit of a cheat as he fell asleep feeding so I just moved him over still snoozing, he's a nightmare if I put him down awake.

Thanks for asking - not great I'm afraid. She did have one 30 min nap in her cot, but I failed miserably at my other attempt and ended up taking her out for a walk in the buggy to get her to sleep... Oh well, will try again tomorrow - even that one short nap is progress I suppose. We've tried moving her whilst asleep so many times and it never works - the moment you put her down she's wide awake! Glad George doesn't mind though - at least you get some peace and quiet :)

I will need to add myself to your little diet thing, I started on Monday too :D Day 3 and it's going really well, but I don't think I'm eating enough, I tend to do that when I'm dieting, I'd rather have nothing than healthy snacks :D need to try harder.
Nutella you got me wanting blueberries, just had to go get some but now they're all gone oops :o Got a set of scales in Argos today (£6.49) so I'm unofficially joining the weight loss but not joining the list as think that'd be too much pressure at the moment, but the thought of it just might spur me on :j

Just figured out how to multi-quote! :T

Gilly, please do add yourself to the weight loss list if you feel like it - we can maybe amend it to individual targets if yours is different? Glad it's going well, but please do eat! ;) I snack on berries, Snack a Jacks, bags of Special K Minibreaks, and carrot/cucumber sticks with the little Be Good to Yourself hummous pots from Sainsbury's (only 50 calories!). All things that can be eaten with one hand, which is a must with a baby :)

Turtlemoose, oops, but at least I got you wanting something healthy rather than biscuits!?... ;) I love berries (any - raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries), and ate at least a punnet a day whilst pregnant. This was during the winter months when they were really expensive, but I did it all for the baby of course ;) You could use the same argument since you're breastfeeding - baby needs blueberries :) Good luck with the weight loss - the advantage of not joining the list is of course that you can shout about your successes and keep quiet if you have a week that doesn't go so well :)

Just booked myself and LO onto a baby massage and postnatal yoga course - starting on Monday! :j Also bought her a swimming costume for when we start classes in September - reduced to £4 in M&Co because summer's coming to an end (or because it never actually happened). I've also seen reduced ones in Boots in case anyone else needs one?

    Evening all!!

Just sat down for what feels like the first time today! Little man seems to be a little better *touch wood* he slept a lot better last night and went 8-6 with no wakes for feeds. Although, he has developed an annoying habit of waking up and wanting his dummy. He has never done that, he used to have it to drop off with and then spit it out but last night he seemed to want it all the time - I was up and down like a fiddlers elbow!!

He has gone off without it tonight so hoping he stays asleep. If anyones babies do get a sniffle though, I personally found a few drops of karvol in a pint of hot water on the floor in his room helped him loads last night.

Will try and catch up but sorry if I miss anything...

Rebekah - hope your LO gives you a few hours of solo sleep tonight! Mine used to only sleep on one of us too, a couple of nights I did have to sleep with him in the chair so I know how tired you must be *hugs* We just had to really perservere and keep putting him down when he had gone, it did start to work after a few nights. Or, if he was in a good mood I would lay him in his basket just so he got familiar with it.

Nutella - I want some berries now! Well done on the progress with the napping, it took me a while to get Aiden to fall asleep in his cot rather than on us and doing the transfer! Sometimes even now he won't drop off on his own though :o Baby massage and yoga sounds fun! Let us know how you get on!

Gilly - hope your LO didn't nap all evening! Aiden seems to be in the habit of napping about 4pm which is a pain as bedtime has to get later. Tonight he didn't go down until about 9 :(

Turtlemoose- hope he wasn't sick on you again! Good luck with the weight loss too.

Katie - I read to Aiden too :) My sister gave us some of my niece and nephews old books and I occasionally read him a story or two. I don't think he is arsed a lot of the time but I like them too :o

Mozzy - hope you enjoyed your day off with Charlie!!

Right, I am off to make a cup of tea and - dont judge me - watch the only way is essex!!!:D

Thanks nutella for mentioning that boots have sale swimwear, need to get pop's a cossie, not taken her swimming yet as the consultant told me not to as her lungs are still very badly scarred, hopefully shouldn't be to long until we can go!

Am i the only one who hates their babe smelling of perfume/aftershave?! A friend popped round and had a cuddle with poppy and my poor little girl stunk! I love her natural baby smell and since having her have stopped wearing perfume! Might just be me being a fussy mummy!

Hope everyone has a good sleep. Xx

Me too! Especially rank perfume! A lady I used to work with meets us every few weeks and she always gives him a cuddle and he comes back to me absolutely stinking of her perfume!!! Or, if we are walking through town and someone is smoking  I try and move away but there are smokers everywhere!!

    xx

Glad its not just me! My friends perfume is lovely, i just don't want my baby smelling of it! Know what you mean about smoke, i was behind 3 girls in town yesterday who were smoking and had poppy in a sling and i had to stop off in a shop to get away from them, it was a massive worry when she was on 24 hour oxygen!

My friend asked me when i was getting poppy's ears pierced, i said when she was about 16 years old! Really don't like earrings in little babies!x
