Mrsbryan. I can only speak for me, but I gave up expressing just before Rose turned six months, as I should have been returning to work. I have the odd occasional tiny bit of milk even now, and she is just past 7 months.

I didn't do anything to stop it- all I really did was express out a little bit if it was sore at the start.... other than that, time and breastpads really for me!

I watched the Olympics as well- had plenty of peace, as Rose was sitting on the ground in front of me going 'oh oh oh' at the screen, with her arms outstretched...... :)

    Morning all, BTW.......

    Morning all :)

MrsBryan, I struggled with BFing from Day 1 and did some expressing until LO was 4 weeks-ish. I too found that my supply dwindled, and I used my last breast pad around a week after I stopped expressing. I didn't do anything to stop it - I think my body just realised that the demand was no longer there and stopped producing milk, although I'm sure everyone's different. I woke up with sore breasts a couple of times, and expressed a few drops so I didn't feel like I was about to burst, but I only really leaked for a few days. I suspect it won't take very long for your milk to dry up either if the supply is already reducing.

hi ladies hope you don't mind me posting as my baby is over 1 now :) Just thought I would share a link to an interesting gift my sister gave us a while ago http://www.amazon.co.uk/Baby-walker-harness-ideal-learning/dp/B0045FJ5G6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1343304455&sr=8-3 It may not be for everybody but we have found it brilliant for that awkward in between stage where baby is by no means ready to be walking safely in public but doesn't want to be in their pushchair either.

Thanks! Have ordered as may well suit Scott when the time comes :D

Hi ladies :-) hope everyone's well!!

Am after a bit of advice really, I breastfed Teddy for the first week then moved to formula as he was so hungry it just wasnt enough for him. I've been expressing so he's still getting a breast mill bottle a day but as the weeks go on my supply is dwindling down and now I'm only getting 2oz a day! As he's on 4-5 oz bottles he's only getting a bottle of breast milk every 3 days so I've decided to stop expressing.

What I'm really asking is how long will it take for my milk to dry up and is there anything I need to be doing to help!
    Xxxx

Don't worry hopefully as your not producing a lot it shouldn't be too long, I was hardly producing anything at the end and it was ok just a bit uncomfortable first day but not bad or anything for me x

I've got 2 hrs to bath and dress Reuben, have a shower and do my hair, serve dinner (its lready cooked just needs chucking on plates and heating really), eat dinner, and find something non- maternity to wear for the party we are going to tonight, wrap some prezzies too....I have no idea how I'm going to get this done in time eek!

    Evening ladies, how is everyone?

Happy 6 months to Aaron! George is 12 weeks today :)

Not much to report from our way really, glad it seems to be cooling down a bit. George had his first bath in the proper bath this morning which went pretty well compared to his evening bath/dunks in his bowl, no tears but he did have a confused and slightly worried expression. Need bath toys!

    Hope all are well :)
