Oh dizzi I hope she improves. I don't think the heat helps, I always find my chest is tight / more likely to be wheezy when the weather is hot. Sending get better wishes your way xxx0

Gosh wow at the big boobies on here!! And I thought going up to an E was bad, I really should be grateful they stopped there!!!
As a family we have a party to attend tomorrow - it's kid/baby friendly but slightly nervous about BFing in front of a load of strangers (I only know the hosts!)...I've only fed in public twice before and once he wouldn't latch so ended up with a frantic dash home, second time he projectile puked (which he never does at home!) All over me....so hmm, bit apprehensive!
R seems to have found his voice a bit today, and has progressed from grunts and snorts, he can do this shouty thing that sounds like "AY!" So hes laying on his changing mat shouting at the curtain....least he's easily pleased lol0 -
Hah turtlemoose - we've just had a good hour of lying on the changing mat wrestling a muslin (her current most favourite thing). Poor girlie's still wheezing and under the weather - I'm just praying it doesn't end up going down the allergy route with two dogs and a cat - thankfully allergies don't run in our families massively, but childhood asthma does... if they start muttering about allergies I'll pay to get her tested properly before we have to start thinking the unthinkable - but I'm hoping it clears up as the heat goes away - it very much started when the heat and humidity started to rise.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

dizzi, I had childhood asthma (indeed I still have asthma, but it's now perfectly controlled - no drugs unless I'm near a trigger). Unfortunately for me it's most certainly allergy related, I'm allergic to cats/dogs (very much to cats); also allergic to dust, and while I'm not sure if I'm allergic or not I'm certainly sensitive to household chemicals and things so now that I run my own household it's 'eco friendly' versions of everything and as little fake scent around as possible (for things like detergents and (pet hate) air fresheners / aerosol furniture polish, bleach too). I was tested for all sorts of things when I must have been 5 or so, I was allergic to everything they tested aside from human hair!
If you're thinking about getting rid of the furry friends, try just restricting her access to them first, make sure where she sleeps is pet-free (lying down is always worse!), lots of vaccuuming, not touching her if you've picked up a cat, washing your own hands lots, etc, etc.
With me I found I got used to the cats we had but other people's would set me off. Now that I'm not living at home anymore any cat will set me off and the result is even more violent than before. I can't go near a friend's house (who has cats) without taking both my asthma pump and anti allergy tablets....
I was also "allergic" as a baby to dairy (was on soya milk), eggs (if my recollection of what I was told is correct) and bananas (all fine now).0 -
Oh believe me - getting rid of the pets is about bottom of the list of things we'd do if it does become an ongoing problem (it could well still be heat, airquality, hayfever, genetics - it runs in both our families), and I'll be moving heaven and earth to make sure it doesn't come to that and I'll be paying to get her properly tested and not just doing anything on the offchance I'll hit on the right allergen trigger.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

I suffer with asthma and have 3 cats hun. They not allowed in room/on bed. I hoover regularly. Get a rubber brush (ive got the jml wonderbroom), collects sooooo much pet hair.
Plus I'm sure you can buy these wipes which you use on the pets to help with allergies etc. Oh, and always wash hands after handling pets xDFD February 2012

Hi ladies :-) hope everyone's well!!
Am after a bit of advice really, I breastfed Teddy for the first week then moved to formula as he was so hungry it just wasnt enough for him. I've been expressing so he's still getting a breast mill bottle a day but as the weeks go on my supply is dwindling down and now I'm only getting 2oz a day! As he's on 4-5 oz bottles he's only getting a bottle of breast milk every 3 days so I've decided to stop expressing.
What I'm really asking is how long will it take for my milk to dry up and is there anything I need to be doing to help!
XxxxAttitude is a little thing that makes a big difference
