    Morning!

Dream feed didn't work here :(:(

He woke at 2:10, 4:15, 5:00 and 6:15. I honestly do not know how he does it. He doesn't nap loads during the day, yet when he wakes at night he is all smiles and wanting to play. Its then a battle getting him to drop off in his cot.

I think most of my day today will be spent up and down the stairs trying to get him to fall asleep on his own, maybe thats the problem that he is too used to us settling him to sleep etc.

Who knows lol. He used to only wake about 4:00 for a feed, but he hasn't done that for ages now, I suppose it could be teeth.

Mozzy - hope you got another hour snooze in.

Sammie - hope you get the moonwalkers off to school!!

    Morning all!

We don't dream feed here as Elliot basically goes to bed when we do - or maybe that's the other way round... anyway he went to sleep at 9 last night and so we got to bed at 9.30. Normally it's more like 10.30. Had a pretty good night as Elliot slept through til 4, then 6.45, and has only just woken up again. Not sure why I feel more tired today than when he's awake 4 times in the night.

I had wrist problems too... had RSI about 8 years ago, and lifting Elliot really aggravated it again. I went straight to the physio as I'd been seeing her for my back when pg. She gave me a wrist immobilisingg strap to wear overnight, and a combination of that and sports supports during the day has made a huge difference. I'm still getting occasional tingling but it doesn't hurt.

    Morning all :)

Sunshine, sorry to hear you had a bad night - hope he decides to sleep a bit during the day today so you can get some rest.

My LO seems to have developed a sleep pattern - she falls asleep at 9pm-ish after bath and feed, then wakes up at 2am-ish for a feed, then falls asleep again and wakes up at 6am-ish for another feed. Then sleeps for another 2 or 3 hours. During the day she has short naps every couple of hours and a big lunch time nap of an hour and a half/two hours. She's been following this pattern every day for a week now - I'm hoping to get rid of the 2am feed at some point, but I really can't complain! Oh, and we're trying to persuade her to take her big daytime nap in her basket rather than on people - that'd be nice!

Hope everyone else's LOs slept OK - have a good day all x

Sunshine - does Aiden nap late in the afternoon? Only reason I ask is because Noah doesn't sleep after 3.30pm, I think it's because the boys are home do there is lots going on. I know Gilly said she stopped her little one sleeping after 3pm and he started sleeping better. Other then that I'm afraid I can't help with the non sleeping, do you get him out of his cot when he wakes in the night? I started popping Noah's dummy back in his mouth and just stroking his head and he seemed to just drift off to sleep again. I really feel for you not getting much sleep. I'll give you my address and you can post him to me for a week whilst you get some sleep!! :D

Oh and yes the moonwalkers are now at school!!

Work - all I can say is booo! I need to start looking for childcare - planning to return to work in Feb when LO will be 9 months. Question for those with older children: I'm thinking of working from home one day a week - my employer is really good when it comes to flexible working, so shouldn't be a problem. Am I being totally unrealistic to think I'd be able to look after a child of that age AND actually get some work done?... :o

Mozzy, glad you get to have Weds off - two days of work in one go seems a lot more bearable than four or five! I'm thinking of asking for compressed hours, so I'd still work full time but do 5 days' work in 4 days (one of which could be from home) - that way I'd have a day off with LO and only pay for 3 days' worth of childcare. We'll see if it works - we need to find a flexible childminder! Childcare is sooo expensive!

I can't watch OBEM anymore - it just makes me cry with sheer anger out of how I was treated compared to the women on it. I made no more fuss or bother than them - but was treated so awfully I just start crying when I see women treated with more compassion.

In other news - Erin slept through till 5.30am! She started to surface at about 2, so I just pulled her across for a cuddle, expecting her to doze till about 3, 4 if lucky - looked at the clock and it was 5.30... considering we normally get up at 6/6.30 I'm counting that as sleeping through!
