Jacob has vest, sleepsuit then the sleeping bag. Not sure what tog it is but it's not too thick. He has a lightweight blanket on too. Aarrgghh I'm dreading him having his jabs tomorrow!

I remember with DS1 not getting a shower etc until the afternoon lol! It totally changes your world having your first. Now I get up before DH goes to work so I can squeeze a quick shower in before the school run.

Hi lauralou :-) controlled crying is for babys over 4 months old and babys generally dont start settling into a rountine till 6 weeks - then you can start changing it :-)

At 6 months jacob routine is up at 7 feed at 9 and nap. Play and then feed and nap at 1. Play then feed and nap at 4. Play - feed and bed at 7. All times approx :-)

He ate mozzerella, apple sauce, cucumber and ham today :-)

does anyone have any experiences or advice for feeding blister? Ellie had one early on and now her lip is getting sore again. not sure how to prevent it

My DD used to suffer with this, nipple cream (the clear lansino? can't spell it) on me whilst BF and a tiny bit on her lip if it started to come up seemed to help. Not sure whether this is right or not but seemed to help. She still gets them to some extent now as hasn't mastered a proper cup and has a straw all the time!

    Hi Guys

Hope everyone is okay. Good luck Kira, hopefully you'll go naturally before Wednesday.

Wanted to ask about bedding. I have a fleece swaddle from TK Maxx which the LO loves but my midwife was concerned that he'll get too hot. What does everyone else use? I don't particularly want to use a blanket especially as the LO is a right fidget, i'd be at my wits end.

    Kimmy :D
From 0 - 4 months DD was in a moses basket and I used blankets (born February). I used to wrap them tight under the mattress. She sometimes used to kick them off, but I don't recall her ever complaining. The room was kept to about 18 degrees.
