    Hello all
sooo glad the threads back!!! im a fb hater so v.pleased your all back!!
We got back today from our two wk cruise, was lovely and aiden was soo good bless him. hes started to roll over onto tummy now!
So much to catch up on and im on my fone so will post properly when on laptop. havent started weaning yet,16wks tomoz, but aiden loves the look of food so wont be long, im nervous too! He weighed 15lb 5 at his second jabs when he was 14wks so hes a chunk too!
Just put him in moses and hes so long in it now so think next week it will be cot, dont want him away from me but agree with mozzy it will be nice not to creep about! plus he slept really well in a travel cot on holiday.
Im planning on returning to work october. dreading it too and money will be so tight i could do with a better grade job to pay childcare, i saw a thread on childcare vouchers i might join....
Im gonna get my notes from hosp, its a bit of a blur my labour but would like another eventually...hopefully second labour is a little better.
Anyway ill catch up tomoz....once again YEY that the threads back!!!

Oohh edit - aiden sleeps about8pm with last feed about 1030-11, wakes at 4 and then till 8. Id like to drop the 4 feed but i know im quite lucky with just one night feed xxx

    Hi!
Hope you had a lovely cruise sounds awesome! Would love to go on one! I'll definitely be getting childcare vouchers. Mine costs £1087 per month, soooooo expensive!
Wow you lucky Aiden sleeps so well. Charlie is 19wks and goes to bed 7pm, wakes 12, 4 and 7. But does nap 3 times during the day 40min at a time.

But since going in his own room, he really does sleep better, and I love not almost choking to hold in coughs or turning over in slow motion!

Boo for going back to work, sux hey!

Hello ladies ... I hope you dont mind me crashing but I just have a quick question.

My baby is due in around 14 weeks. We don't own a tumble dryer. Is this going to be an issue? The thing I'm mainly thinking of is towels. We just dry ours on a clothes-dog (is that was its called?!?) now but I think they overdry because they do become super rough once dry - too rough for a baby's skin!

    Hi!

No, I reckon you'll be fine. Just use fabric softner, and maybe air dry them when you can (outside), otherwise it'll be ok.

    Morning Mozzy....

Long enough since I have been on this thread- sorry for that! The site won't load easily from my phone, which is my main access when heavy sleeping baby is slumbering on top of me.....

I'm just back at work, it is hard to see where the time went! I would stay off longer if I could. :)

Rose is just over 6 months, and is weaning- nothing appears to be a problem, she never refuses food.... though I have found the remains of some in her hair hours later!

I'm recovering after surgery a week ago, strangely it's easier to return to work, as I'm not lifting Rose all the time...

    Hi to you all.

    Hi Mozzy :)

Hi Lirin, good luck at work! We've kind of hit a wall with the weaning. He wolfed down the first few lots and then lost interest. But I think he's not 100% as he keeps coughing when eating, even milk sometimes, so maybe he's having trouble swallowing it? Think I need to make some food today as we're wasting loads! You don't know if he'll eat it till you've opened it!

I think some of our sheets are either Tesco or Asda - to be honest I've got such a mishmash from different places I tend to forget.

Took Erin swimming today for the first time - she was a bit tearful but turned out that was just wanting my finger to suck on - then she proceeded to snuggle up to me in the water and go to sleep! Got her on the aqua babies waiting list now - with the fact both sets of grandparents live on the banks of either rivers or lochs - getting her able to swim is going to be a priority for us.

Morning all! Hope everyone is well; my little girl slept from 9.30 to 3.30 last night, which has cheered me up no end! :j

Moneypuddle - we don't have a tumbledryer either, and it's fine. Like Mozzy said, fabric conditioner + air drying works well.

Dizzi - lol at falling asleep in the water, that's so sweet! Know what you mean re. grandparents - both our sets live by the sea, so learning to swim is so important. We have a pool within walking distance that's been closed for complete refurbishment for about three years and is re-opening later this month. AND they'll be offering parent and baby swimming - perfect timing :D

Took LO to a cafe for the first time yesterday - went very well; she loved all the lights and people and things to look at :)

Have a good day everyone - it's cleaning time in the Nutella household x

If you're really worried about the towels being soft enough Moneypuddle, a tip I learnt (think it may've been from superscrimpers or some such programme) is to rub the towel against itself (if that makes sense) as it fluffs up the fibres and makes them nice and soft. It does work, as I've tried it myself when our towels have gone a bit crispy.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    |You have to upload the pic to an online photo website like Picassa, Flickr etc, then copy the link, and hit the button above the post box on mse that looks like a postcard with mountains on, and then paste in the link.
